The president, in a push to get out the Latino vote, says Republicans in Congress have been a stumbling block. A recent poll showed Latinos generally unenthusiastic about the coming elections.
In an effort to energize Latino voters, President Obama defended his administrations efforts to work for a comprehensive immigration plan, while adding that he was frustrated by the failures of Congress to deal with the issue.
In an interview with Eddie Piolin Sotelo, recorded when Obama was in Los Angeles last week, the president blamed Republicans for refusing to work on the needed legislation. As he has in the past, Obama noted that 11 Republican senators voted for immigration reform four years ago but walked away from the issue in this midterm-election year.

Does 0baMao think that Latinos need to have the basic structure of our government esplained to them? Apparently.
Wow...He’s comparing immigration to the Civil Rights movement....and it appears he’s actually “inciting” these folks to riot....And I would say....that is “treason”..
why settle for less than...
Ming the Merciless
In FACT Obama and his dem majority House and his 11 GOP Senators coulda just done it, in the previous two years.
Then they alone woulda owned it.
And in FACT the dems don’t want that result.
They want to be able to say it was bipartisan (downside avoidance) but they led (upside credit with hispanics).
The two words this arrogant narcissist of a little man, in any language, will be incapable of saying, will be "I... FAILED."

Enforce the law. IMHO the failure to come to terms with massive illegal immigration has profoundly undermined the authority of the government and rule of law on every front in this country. People see the cynical calculations on this issue and are loosing what little moral authority the govt has left.
In any case there must be an absolutely secure border before the issue of the millions of illegals already in the country can even be discussed in this or any possible universe. They don’t just want an amnesty for a few illegals they want permanent open borders. The politics of bad faith. Our border is wide open. Mexico is descending into chaos even faster then we are. Drugs. Violence. Organized crime. Mass migrations of illegals.
This nation is being led by men and woman who care NOTHING for the life and death of its citizens let alone their will in this matter.
He said so in cement outside his school in Hawaii.
I'm not a real sorcerer, but TOTUS plays one on TV.
Precisely. . .'on the mark'.
No 'tween the lines' here. Plain, up front, per what is Obama's Second Wish. . .
Clearly; Obama does protest TOO much, his lack of 'total power'.
We have here, a text book classic, psychopathic, narcissistic, 'dictator' as in totalitarian wannabe. . .and the typical 'why cannot you understand. . .how better your life would be - if only. . .
Save for the stupid people - of God, guns and Country. . .
ObaMao is the most destructive to the republic of any president in American history. He even called those who sdisagreeed with his policy ENEMIES! Can you imagine that? A president of the United States calling tens of millions of Americans the enemy? This guy is the absolute worst.
Isnt he the dictator?
He’s more the Czar’s Czar.
“It’s too late. Republicans can’t save California. No one can.”
Sad but true.
Since he had a majority of senators and representatives in the Senate and house, there was no way the Republicans could block anything, and they didn’t. If something was blocked it was because some Dems jumped ship. I don’t know why the republicans are not screaming about these lies day and night.
That's entirely true, actually they have no moral authority, only the authority that comes with their positions. And their reckless and irresponsible fiscal shenanigans puts them into a serious deficit of moral authority. After this election, the Tea Party movement and others need to elevate immigration enforcement to their top few reasons for outrage and become much more vocal about it.
Whoever is in Congress in January, citizens will have to watch them like hawks and start working on the next members who need to be ousted.
Never in the history of this republic has a president, sitting or otherwise ever made a public statement lamenting the constitutional restrictions on their power.
Its amazing how utterly "issue free" the public sphere has become in this country. All cynical name calling and mud slinging. Fiddling while Rome burns. All the real issues are just ignored.
In a very real way that is why we are in the mess we are in now. Forcing the debate back onto the actual issues is not only essential in and of itself but the key to future electoral success.
