Brainstorm: New Idea on How to Catch Vote Fraud Scam Artists
self | 10/27/10 | darth

Posted on 10/27/2010 10:15:38 AM PDT by darth

Just had a new idea which I want to share.

I have learned that one of the easiest vote fraud scams in Texas is for an activist to obtain extra Voter Registration Certificates (VRC).

In Texas, you can vote without ID if you have a VRC. The dim activists steal them from mailboxes when the County mails them or they create non-existent phantom voters or they obtain them by buying them from people willing to sell their vote.

The activist can run this scam all day long and vote many times as long as the gender and age on the VRC appear to be correct. So they obtain a bunch of VRCs and then share them among a group to match genders and ages.

The key to catching the activist is to watch for people who visit more than one Polling Place.

My idea is to have a group of Freepers in a number of Polling Places which are close together. As each car comes in, they email or text the vehicle license numbers back to a central location where another Freeper types the vehicle license numbers into a database, e.g., Excel spreadsheet. Sort the list as you update. When you see the same plate number two or more times....BINGO! You just discovered your vote fraud perp.

Now the central database Freeper texts out the plate number to ALL Freepers. When the perp arrives to vote at yet another precinct, they video him. If possible, two or more witnesses follow him into the Polling Place to observe the perp voting. They can use a ruse to stand around by asking the Judge to look up the address of another precinct in the book, call the Registrar, etc.

With video and multiple witnesses, we have a good chance at a conviction with jail time.

Remember, the scam artists are not paid much. Jail one and you discourage a thousand.

Your scenario doesn’t stop the fraud in this election..................it merely documents it.............

Go for it. The publicity will pay off in 2012. It may point to fraud as the difference in a very close race in this election.

Actually, if the Freeper Team can catch the perp early in the day, the DA can have him arrested immediately.

I’m not exaggerating when I point out that a perp can vote 50-75 times on Election Day, not counting Early Voting! It would be even easier to catch the perp during Early Voting because there are only 35 Polling Places to cover.

I forgot to add, by looking at which Precincts the perp hit and when, the Freeper Team can determine direction of travel and predict what precinct he will hit next.

This is just another method to plug yet another hole in the system. But the VRC is a GAPING HOLE in the system.

Most fraud can be stopped by Republican Judges, Alternates, and Poll Watchers.

I know that chasing down dim activists pulling scams and putting them in jail is tedious, but it beats the alternatives!

Our Revolution will not end on 11/2. We are in this fight for the rest of our lives. Gotta think long term strategy.

Even easier - indelible dye that won’t completely wash off for two weeks (catches folks early voting, too).

Sorry. I was thinking long-term solution, not immediate. I’ve often wondered why they don’t do this in the U.S.

It is absolutely appalling to me that anyone anywhere in America can cast a vote without being on a list of registered voters and provide picture ID at the time of voting. The electoral process is the base of our entire system. I am convinced there are hundreds, if not thousands, of offices held all across the country that were filled by fraud.

Yep, it is apalling.

I concentrate on current tactics; we are in a battle.

If the Republicans can take the State Legislatures and Governor’s seats, then they can work on requiring photo ID.

However, in the long run we must control the Presidency and the Senate in order to get federal judges who are not hostile to photo ID.

11/2 is just a battle. The war on liberty has gone on since Marx. It will continue for generations more.

Just keep fightin’.

This should be a good project for a Tea Party in the cities. We country dwellers may have some fraud, but it takes place during the counting process at the court house (finding lost votes). The fraud that causes great problems are in the cities. It would be easier to track folks that way in the cities.

I was required to present my driver's license and have it scanned as well as my voter's registration card. We live in a small town.....so I think it's pretty clean here. They also use the scantron ballots.

The encouraging scenario is that early voting has been non-stop all week. I've driven by several times...but could never find a parking place until today. If it's like this all over the country......we may have a good shot! :)

I work near an inner-city Early Voting location, so I went there last Sat. No lines. There were 20 Card Pushers in the parking lot with no one to accost.

My sense is that Obama supporters are hurting in the current economy and are deeply dissappointed. It is discouraging them from voting.

AKA evidence ...... and testimony before Rep. Issa's 'Rat-barbecuing investigative subcommittee, when-not-if it forms. And evidence for the defense, if any of the current Soros-funded SLAPP suits goes forward:

"Your honor, we would like to present at this time video evidence showing the plaintiff engaged in vote fraud."

Lovely. Directed verdicts for the defense and arrest on-the-spot of plaintiff for contempt of court and vote fraud, anyone?

“I’m not exaggerating when I point out that a perp can vote 50-75 times on Election Day,”

I don’t doubt it. The problem is, those who are perpetrating the fraud may be arrested immediately, and prosecuted eventually, but their “votes” will be counted, unfortunately.

In the Washington State gubernatorial race between Gregoire and Rossi, the number of ballots from many precincts exceeded the number of voters, but since Rossi couldn’t prove for whom the fraudulent ballots were cast, Gregoire was awarded the win. Documenting fraud doesn’t do much good if those in power don’t care.

You are absolutely right. Crying about vote fraud the day after the election is almost useless. However, it was the fraud in the last election that got True The Vote fired up to send out an army of Judges and Poll Watchers this time.

We need to catch a vote fraud perp in the act and bust him for all the world to see.

The video of the handcuffed perp will do the world a lot of good.

We need to disrupt and prevent the fraud in progress.

Right, but if the Democrats commit fraud in front of the poll watchers and ignore the complaints thereof, what's going to happen?

Ultimately, people need to somehow become aware of a few things:

  1. If the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land, judges have no authority to make any ruling fundamentally contrary to it; if judges issue such rulings, they do so without authority, and such rulings are illegitimate. Those who are bound to uphold the Constitution should not follow rulings which are contrary to it.
  2. The fact that those in power have formed a sufficiently large clique to protect themselves from removal by the processes outlined in the Constitution does not mean they legitimately maintain their leadership positions when they violate the Constitution in such gross fashion as to justify their removal.
  3. Elections are, in some sense, a means of determining who would win a civil war without actually having to fight it (a notion I read somewhere and find interesting). To the extent that the side which loses an election takes the loss as a sign that they would not win a sufficiently-overwhelming victory in a civil war as to justify the cost, discouraging civil war is a benefit to all concerned. If there is sufficient fraud in an election that it no longer reflects the sentiments of the populace, the election may no longer serve as a deterrent to civil war.
  4. If those in power do not abide by the Constitution, removal of those people would not constitute the overthrow of legitimate government, but rather its restoration.
BTW, one thing I wish were in the Constitution: "When a public official is accused of deliberately violating the Constitution, a jury shall be entitled to determine to what extent it sees fit to apply any or all of the protections of the Constitution to the accused." No constitution can possibly anticipate all scenarios in which officials might seek to undermine it; consequently, no constitution should endeavor to fully describe all possible remedies when such breaches of the public trust occur.

The Harris County DA prosecuted two individuals in the last election cycle.

It’s a start.
