Vlad has to hit a 6-run homer to make up for his fielding.

Who saw this bloodbath coming?
post #13, this thread;
To: Liberty Valance
This Giants fan believe that the superior pitching roster AND 1-run game experience will lead the Giants to victory in 6 games, max.
5 likely.
Team ERA below 3...inclusive of the deepest bullpen in the majors.
Philly had bats AND pitching and we took them out. Texas has...a pitcher and a bunch of bats.

when I read all of that, I had to cringe. too true, too true...but we'll see one way or another. At least three more games, at least if a certain somewhere doesn't freeze over (or bust out bubbling all over the place) and the creeks don't rise...

I fear you're right. And Cliff Lee was exposed.
Nevertheless, just making it to the World Series for a team that went through so much turmoil is plenty of satisfaction for we long-suffering Metroplex sports fans.

It will go at least to game 6.

That post implies a 2-1 or 3-2 game, which is what most of us expected...certainly not 11-7...

I've been watching this team closely all year.
The Texas Ranger have met their betters...even though Tampa and NY had better records, when it comes to crunch time, the Giants are the best team in the majors.

The Rangers were totally outclassed, and outright embarrassed out there.
