Sen. John Kerry is so vain, he probably thinks this story is about him . . . and he’d be right!
Slate.com has named the skipper of the Isabel the most vain man in that vanity pit known as the U.S. Senate based on a “scientific analysis” of all 100 senators’ “Ego Walls.”
In a posting headed “If the Walls Could Talk,” Slate writers Darren Garnick (who also writes “The Working Stiff” column for the Herald) and Ilya Mirman explored the photo displays on the waiting-room walls of each senator’s office and developed a “Senate Vanity Index.” The formula, developed by Mirman, an engineer and scientist, measures the level of egotism displayed in each senator’s lobby based on how many pictures the solon has of himself (or herself) glad-handing celebrities, world leaders and the like.

Living in the middle of nowhere, I don’t see famous people, but I did see John Kerry. I was driving through Stanley, ID and at a pulloff by the river, I saw a Suburban with black windows with a small enclosed cargo trailer behind. Standing there were 4 people. Two big goons were pushing a fancy black probably Italian motorcycle into the trailer, a third goon was holding a black helmet, and the 4th was Kerry, in black leathers, fixing his hairdo with a hairbrush. They were 60-70 miles from his wife’s house in Sun Valley and he rode that far, but he wasn’t riding back, obviously.
I'll bet the bastard's wall doesn't have this pic from the morning of 9/11/2001 of the first Senator to flee the Capitol which was rumored to be under threat of the fourth terror jet. Run Chicken$hi+!
