Florida independent Senate candidate Charlie Crist personally lobbied Democratic candidate Kendrick Meek to exit the race this week, offering him a cross that had been a gift from his sister, Mr. Meek said Friday.
The gesture occurred Monday as Mr. Crist and Mr. Meek were surrounded by local Jewish leaders at a Hollywood, Fla., meeting of the pro-Israel lobbying group American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
“I was shocked when he did it,” Mr. Meek said in an interview late Friday. “I told him to keep the cross and that I carry my Christianity in my heart.”

He really seems to be slipping out of reality, but not sure he’s aware of what’s happening.....Mr Looney Tunes probably will become an official inmate of the nearest mental-health facility after Tuesday. I swear Crist looks just plain weird lately and sounds like he’s lost it.

Did anybody see Charlie on Greta last night? He really did come off like he is in another world - like he has already gone over the edge. He kept repeating his talking points and refused to give much detail about what was said by whom to whom, etc..
The man is the worst abject whore I have ever seen in politics except for zero. Whatever whomever he is with or in front of at the time is what he is, two hours later with or in front of someone else, he’s what they want him to be or says what they want to hear.
He’s done. This really set him back, not that he was going to win anyway. Let him leave in richly-deserved shame.

I saw him and I couldn’t believe how long it took him to answer her questions. I thought he was having trouble hearing or something! He definitely seemed out of it.

Yes, he was robotic and repetitive. Everything he said was memoriized and rote. He seemed as though he was on Valium or some sort of sedative. He was speaking real softly, not animated or at all sincere. He seemed lobotomized. He’s willing to be anything to anybody to get their vote.
A few days R&R in Argentina and a little hike on the Appalachian trail and he’ll be right as rain.
Last night he looked really haggard and thin. He’s so thin, I’d say he could use a feeding tube.
Was his sister on her death bed, dying of cancer when she gave Charlie the cross?
