MSNBC, of all places, has the pictures:
I don't know about you, but nothing says "restoring sanity" to me like depicting a Jewish person as a Nazi.
And you’re a troll.
It’s a freakin photo shoot, what’s your point?
When talking with Lefties, when you back that up by pointing out all the socialist / anti-capitalist elements of the NSDAP party platform from the early 1930s, they’re left with nothing substantial as a comeback, and typically resort to invective.
Don’t you get it man? It’s edgy! It’s ironic! /idiot-hipster-mode
Correct, and people forget that Hitler addressed buddy Stalin as fellow socialist in his letters. The comintern and Stalin considered all nationalist socialists as rightist deviationists. Mussolini began his career as the head of the socialist party, which incidentally was more marxist than the communist party founded by msrs. Togliati and the famed Gramsci.
Right, because nothing says "Hitler" like someone advocating for lower taxes and less government.
Beats me who the guy is, but when you do a google search for “Walt’s Ice Pick,” your first hit is the myspace page of someone named IcePick Walt, a 55-year-old blues musician from Tulsa, Oklahoma, who likes Frontline and Nova, claims to be interested in politics, lists his religion as “Christian-other,” and my intuition, from my old days as a reporter, give me a strong feeling of a wry “moderate” who tends to vote Democrat and projects a ironic disdain for “extremists.” A Jon Stewart kind of dude. In other words, a smug liberal. Whether these two guys are the same guy, though, is another question.
>>I like Jonah Goldbergs continuum of political ideology based on the amount and application of government power. Seen that way, the Nazis and the Communists are within kissing distance.
That idea considerably pre-dates Jonah. See the 3rd quote on my FR profile, the two-paragraph one by Hayek. The Road to Serfdom was written in 1940-43, published in 1944 in the UK and the US.
Boy, the pieces sure seem to fit.
Uh huh, Beck’s right up there with Jimmy Swaggart:

John Stewart getting serious now, but he’s an amateur compared to Glenn Beck. Beck is a pro, even better than Jimmy Swaggart, at letting the voice crack and shedding tears, real tears.
Beck will be remembered, Stewart forgotten.

If the left ever accuses you of doing something wrong, it is because they are already doing it themselves. Bank on it.
Where did he go? A true FReep would state his case if there were a misunderstanding of ideals intended.
Thanks for short history lesson. Would have been better with a beer nearby, though. LOL
GB dispelled this tripe a long time ago:

I heard Glenn Beck talking about this. It seems that Obama
plans to send disgruntled citizens to FEMA camps sprinkled among the stars. In the White House, they refer to these poor folks as Twinklers.

This troll is pretty weak.
LOL...look no furhter then the post below, #52. Case closed.
He’s got a right to his opinions but just want to hear him explain it with some intelligent thought! We don’t throw under the bus around here unless drastically called for!
I’ve seen his posts here before, this ain’t he first one that has caught my attention or that of other FReepers.
If it walks like a duck.......
It’s also worth noting that Il Duce admired Woodrow Wilson for his progressive ideas. Like jailing thousands for criticizing the US’s involvement in WWI, First Amendment be damned.
Shifting subjects slightly, the three books mentioned here make an excellent start to a FReeper reading list - Liberal Fascism, The Road to Serfdom, and The Forgotten Man.
