“by telling them how he was trying to fight AIDS”
And he said the other side is doing nothing...BIG FAT LIE.
Didn’t US aid to fight AIDS in Africa increase to record levels during the Bush administration.
I’m so pissed that this guy gets a pass on lie after lie. Trouble is, there are no republicans willing to grab him by the balls and say I won’t let go until you tell the truth.

Just saw the “report” on channel 32. Looked like a pretty friendly crowd, nobody there who wouldn’t vote for Quinn ‘N’ Giannoulias anyway. And the head says that nobody was bussed in, they were all honest supporters, from all over the place. All of them. So I believe him, since you can’t lie on TV. There was very little of homie’s speech, but the card-holders they station behind him for the cameras were mostly white, so I’m assuming he’s trolling for white-ass dem turnout, suburban and otherwise- the black bloc is, as usual, taken for granted. Step away for a few hours and you miss a lot. Well, not really a lot, very little if anything, I guess.

2012 will be Palin vs Obama for sure. Those two are the only ones that can get people to these rallies. There was between 8 and 10 thousand in Bridgeport today. That is way more than I thought they would get. Palin can get thousands too. 2012 is going to be so much fun. I am a tad worried about the Republican primary season though because it is going to be a bruiser. Obama has 1 billion to spend for 2012. The winner of our primary will have to replenish the coffers QUICK.

Or media outlets.

On the north side of the Midway I saw only one yellow school bus. It shouldn't have been hard (unless too many people are pissed off at him or just don't care) for a lot of people to show up spontaneously because that's a high population density neighborhood. Also, most of the students at the U of Chicago, which is on both sides of the Midway, are non-black. It would be interesting to compare crowd size with the crowds in Washington Park (within easy walking distance) every weekend for the African fest things. I could hear those things from many blocks away. I couldn't hear a peep from the direction of the Midway.

Even if they are pissed off or apathetic, (neither of which I would even suspect) It would be an easy walk for anyone who just wanted to see what was going on. (Hey, the president’s speaking in 15 minutes! Cool! Let’s go!) When I focus on the cynical side of life, like this election, I’ll forget what a rich city Chicago really is, especially on a gorgeous fall afternoon. Whatever you want to do, it’s pretty simple to just show up and do it. Thank you Daniel Burnham.
