I see a lot of police activity in the neighborhood and people walking around. It may have been scheduled on the Midway because he could count on getting enough of the college kids out to make it look like he was getting interest from the yute (in reality it’s just a block or two from their dorms) and in his own neighborhood and on the south side (and not too far from Louie Farrakhan’s “mosque” and about 9 blocks from Louie’s house), he’s probably feeling he’s bound to draw in enough black faces to make him look important and adored, rather than as a curiosity who screwed up in Washington coming back home to where he had been criticized for sounding “too white.”

Just saw the “report” on channel 32. Looked like a pretty friendly crowd, nobody there who wouldn’t vote for Quinn ‘N’ Giannoulias anyway. And the head says that nobody was bussed in, they were all honest supporters, from all over the place. All of them. So I believe him, since you can’t lie on TV. There was very little of homie’s speech, but the card-holders they station behind him for the cameras were mostly white, so I’m assuming he’s trolling for white-ass dem turnout, suburban and otherwise- the black bloc is, as usual, taken for granted. Step away for a few hours and you miss a lot. Well, not really a lot, very little if anything, I guess.
