Obama pitches like my 6 year old grandson.

Even looking at this makes me miserable anymore.

My 87 year old grandmother threw better than that.

"Ranger bats have been asleep for most of this series."

This is because great pitching trumps great hitting almost every time.

Gee, thanks for pouring salt in an open wound. Since it doesn’t hurt quite enough, do you think you could pour some lemon juice in there while you’re at it? Thanks.

All bitterness aside, the very fact the Rangers even made it to the playoffs has me and every other Rangers fan over the moon. It just stinks they can’t win it all this year. Here’s hoping this is just the first of MANY Worls Series appearances in the years to come.

It will be interesting to see how the Rangers fare in the off-season now that it’s the first one with Ryan in firm control.

Will they sign Cliff? I think they really need to focus on improving the offense, get a better catcher and First baseman, and get at least another big bat in here, because I don’t see Guerrero having another year like this one, and also because if Josh gets hurt for an extended period, the offense will really suffer.

But the good news is that Free Agents now are going to have Texas high on their list of their preferred teams, which will be a huge change.

Yes, to Cliff Lee! Oh, and did you hear what those horrible Yankees fans did to Cliff Lee’s wife when she was at Yankee Stadium? Apparently(according to the story I heard on locally), the fans were exceedingly obnoxious to her to the point of spitting at her and attempting to spill their adult beverages on her. If the Yankees think the missus is going to want to pack up and move to NY after that, they really are delusional.

I hope the Rangers can attract good talent along with developing their own. The new owners will not let this team languish in purgatory like prior owners have. I would have loved to see the Rangers win it all this year as a cosmic apology to all the players and fans that stuck by this team through good times and bad(mostly bad). It would have been a final knife between the ribs of Tom Hicks to see the team he had to sell, win it all AFTER he no longer owned them.

Oh, well...there are always Election Night returns! That’s the one I am anxious and excited to see.

Loved the Giants and A’s my whole life too, but boy it was great to see father and son take the mound and pitch to Nolan Ryan.

I can’t tell you how much I admire the state of Texas. It’s nice to see the Giants winning, but I wish it were against the Yankees. Texas is too great a place for them to lose their first series.

I’m also a Yankees fan, having been in the military in NYC in the early 90’s, and having been the beneficiary of Steinbrenner’s policy of letting anybody with a green military ID card in through the press gate for $1. God bless George for that. Didn’t have much money, but a bag lunch, a couple of subway tokens, and $1 got you into the house that Joe Dimaggio built.

I live in Seattle now. How’d you like to root for them?

Well, if it makes you feel a little bit better, if the Giants were not in this I would be pulling for the Rangers. Nolan Ryan is my all time favorite pitcher, second only to my cousin, who pitched for the Giants.

I have followed the Giants for many years, including the World Series in 1989 and the Loma Prieta Earthquake. Lots of memories...

But Texas has a lot to be proud of. I was pulling for them agains the Yankees!!

Eh...the Rangers have always had an awful lot of quit in them as an organization. I thought they had moved beyond that, but this series showed they have not.
