Heh. I saw this story and thought of D-Day riding the bike in the door and up the staircase at Delta House.

My daughter got suspended a few weeks ago for giving the wrong answer on a hypothetical psych question about what would you do if you could get away with it and there would be no consequences?. Apparently the right answer was things like Rob a Bank or hijack a snack truck or have sex in school. I bet their collective heads would have exploded if she had written "There are ALWAYS consequences since God is always watching."

This is another prime example of how difficult it is to get rational decisions from dumb ass school administrators. School administrators that in their childhood didn't get a pony, didn't get invited to somebody's birthday party, didn't get any Christmas gifts because of their religion, or got picked on for being gay. This is their time to strike back.

Maybe he should have placed a Condom on the Horse’s ear and said he was practicing safe horsing.

All the stories have been told
Of kings and days of old,
But there’s no England now.
All the wars that were won and lost
Somehow don’t seem to matter very much anymore.

How many students are allowed to drive 2,000 pound automobiles in the school parking lot while blasting the stereo and texting? And they say one kid on a horse is dangerous?
Besides, horseback is a legitimate mode of transportation. There’s nothing illegal about riding a horse to school on the shoulder of the public road (unless it’s an interstate).

Public schools are gulags. While they are out in the parking lot going apoplectic students are in the hallways beating the crap out of each other and poking people with pencils. Most school administrators are frustrated tyrants.

We just had a parade in our town, with many dozens (perhaps even hundreds) of horses. Thousands of spectators, no barriers between the parade and spectators. Must have been very dangerous.

If he put a condom on the horse do you think the School would have been o.k. with it.

Agree completely.
That’s why we homeschool our nine children.

It might have given the school administration pause. After all, if the horse was the young man’s sex partner, that might have made a difference to the typical Massachusetts government school administration.

Apparently the right answer was things like Rob a Bank or hijack a snack truck or have sex in school. The wrong answer was Mass Murder. Even if you are in teh biotech specialty program and the school sent you to the FBI to learn about serial killers and you are studying to be a forensic scientist and solve mass murders.
What if she had answered "smoke a cigarette?"
The principal would be seeking the death penalty.

What he, and his parents, thought was a good-natured stunt, the school deemed dangerous. Depaolis was suspended from school for two days.
Two days? That's a slap on the wrist. Serve your two days and return to a hallway full of high-fives you big wuss.

Losers.
Here in Philadelphia a kid rides his horse to and from school everyday.
