She didn’t carry Reno or Mineral County, she had to carry both as they are in her own backyard and she needed them for any chance to win. She carried independents and not Republicans.
Not now he won’t, not with Arizonan’s being so firmly in favor of SB1070. He wants to be head of Armed Services committee and the only way that happens is if we win senate in 2012, so he will play ball to help make that happen.
I don’t believe it. I have 0% faith in McCain. Ever since 2000, he apparently has lived just to destroy anything and anyone who is conservative. He will do it again too.

Wisconsin ROCKED! I literally stood and cheered for Ron Johnson and then shed some tears when he spoke.
I am very happy for you and for the nation for the excellent job you all did.
He claims this is his last term, he will want to go out with honor, his “friend” Feingold is gone now, Kennedy is gone as well..... if he can get Joe to caucus with the GOP I could forgive him a lot of past sins..... we’ll see.

BTW Was talking with a customer about election..both of us fired up...another employee complained to management it was offensive to her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it!!!!!!! I got called on the carpet for it! Well guess what...my response was when they can quite spouting off about the Pittsburgh Steelers then I’ll stop talking politics....further that this was an Historical Event that most everyone is and was talking about an dI would not appologize for celebrating this victory when a customer brings it up....dang mule headed young people today haven;t got a single backbone in their bodies!
Isn’t red beautiful! Am loving this country all the more. What a “change” in my outlook this day. “Hope” tsk tsk, rushes in like the wave that came yesturday. Watching our soon to be speaker of the House choke up, as the reality of this election and his part in it “came home to roost” was equally as moving. What a beautiful sight to behold as God has shown us it is not to late to reclaim our homeland...and may all of us be grateful He seems to be giving us another chance.
You might have missed this news in all the hoopla over the national contests, but Wisconsin also turned over both the Assembly and the State Senate to the conservatives, as well as the governorship. This means that redistricting is firmly in the hands of the Republicans, and those of us in the suburbs no longer have to worry about Gwen Moore being our US Rep. (Gwen Moore in the inner city Congresswoman whose son was convicted of slashing the tires of the cars the Republicans had rented to carry people to the polls in 2004. He got just a slap on the wrist and one of her nephews was let go completely.)

You and other FReepers have always worked in campaigns and in polling places and Lord knows you deserved last night’s fabulous election(s)!!!
It’s not just the Governor — it’s control of both houses of the legislature! And the Congressional Delegation is in Republican hands for the first time since I’ve lived here — 1987 — PLUS a new Republican US Senator. It’s like coming home with all of the candy after Trick or Treating!

To those of us who do realize that it will get worse, prepare yourself and fight! Join like minded folks and do what you must...freedom isn’t free and we’re going to have to pick up the flag and continue the fight of freedom-loving patriots. The lives lost and the freedom won in past wars must not have been for naught.
We know what problems we face, i.e. voting party vs principle, to name just one. So let's get to work on solving these problems...NEVER STOP FIGHTING! We are at war here in the USA and WE are the boots on the ground. Do NOT allow the sacrifices of those patriots in past wars, who gave their all for our freedom, to have been fought for naught.
Grab a hold of yourself, find that wherewithall within you, and fight like hell.
