What we are observing is not so much an election as a kind of plebiscite on the presidency of Barack Obama and the direction in which he has taken the country.
November 2 is the moment when the imminent destiny of the United States will begin to be decided. What we are observing is not so much an election as a kind of plebiscite on the presidency of Barack Obama and the direction in which he has taken the country. His name may not be on the ballot, but his name is stamped, as it were, on the forehead of every Democratic candidate — even those who are desperately trying to distance themselves from his proclamatory eminence.
There is no need to rehearse at any length the damage his administration has inflicted upon the country it was elected to serve. The gamut of national ills, from looming insolvency to the pervasive miscarriage of justice to the nationalization of industries to redistributive economics to electoral fraud to permeable frontiers to the betrayal of allies to the shameful appeasement of enemies, has been addressed innumerable times, and in far more meticulous detail than attempted here, by many competent analysts and political commentators.
If the GOP, or rather, the conservative impetus and groundswell we are observing across the country, is thwarted by leftist agitprop, Sorosite interventions (the ACORN doesn’t fall far from the tree), and the Zimbabwe tactics so dear to the left that are currently being plied, then what David Norcross, chair of the Republican National Lawyers Association, has called a voter-fraud “epidemic,” would re-arrange the American political landscape beyond recognition.
The array of “dirty tricks” — voter intimidation at the polling stations, illegal on-site electioneering, delayed military ballots, quota registration, names of deceased, illegitimate, under-aged, and invented people on the voting rolls, fraudulent lawsuits, bribes, supporting fake tea party candidates to siphon off Republican ballots — has been abundantly documented. Take away the average American’s assumption “that one person, one vote can make a difference,” warns Rich Trzupek, “and America will become a much different nation.”
Indeed, if the Democratic left gets its way, we may be seeing the end of the great American experiment in republican and constitutional governance and saying hello to an EU-style socialist pseudo-democracy, which is bound to fail abysmally, as it has on the gradually sinking European continent. If Americans wish to live in a country that resembles the UK, Spain, Greece, France, or Sweden, with their (variously) faltering economies, bureaucratic stultification, double-digit unemployment, and/or fraying social fabric, they should consider moving there rather than transforming the United States into a European clone. Why ape mediocrity? Why buy a lemon?
As many now seem justifiably to believe, an electoral victory for the left is not the nail in the coffin. It is the coffin. The enormity of what is happening today in the governing echelons of the United States is so unprecedented as to be almost unthinkable. There is an obvious Alinskyite in the White House who appears determined to “fundamentally transform” his country; in other words, to dismantle it. Having taught Alinsky’s methods and principles in workshops, Obama has applied Alinsky’s rule # 13 to the country itself. He has picked his target, frozen it, personalized it, and polarized it. We know that Obama was a “community organizer,” but according to his mentor, “An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.” An “organizer” has a revolutionary program and is intentionally divisive. An “organizer” is not a patriot.
True to form, this is a president who has eschewed the gestures that testify to patriotism — the flag pin, hand over heart — small epiphanies that augur large consequences. This is a president who has sued the state of Arizona for seeking to defend its borders against illegal refugees and drug cartel violence, and who has not scrupled to designate some of his fellow citizens as “enemies.”
Like most professional revolutionaries and social agitators, his harangues against the amassing of wealth do not pertain to himself. After all, this is a man who has the effrontery to inform his public that “at a certain point, you’ve made enough money,” yet whose personal earnings in 2009 exceeded $5 million. This is a commander-in-chief, as Bob Woodward reveals in his new book, Obama’s Wars, who believes that America “can absorb a terrorist attack” and who is more worried about losing the Democratic Party than losing the war in Afghanistan. Worse, as David Horowitz and Jacob Laksin write, with compelling evidence, this is a president who “has transformed a nation that had been the world’s bulwark of democracy and freedom into an enabler of the very forces that are intent on destroying them.”
To add to the destructive absurdity of this administration, Team Obama is teeming with polished liars and fiscal imbeciles — if, that is, they are not following, as many have come to suspect, the notorious Cloward-Piven agenda of intentionally breaking the system in order to replace it with a socialist Frankenstate. As Tom Blumer points out in a PJM article, the operational deficit in 2010 increased by 19% from the previous year to $1.435 trillion, and the national debt has spiked by more than $3 trillion since Obama took office — a hyperbloat that has nothing to do with the fiscal policies of the previous administration. In effect, the country is being spent into oblivion.
These sums are practically unimaginable, which may be why there has been no outbreak of civil disobedience or tax revolt and why a, let’s say, Clowardly president and his party can still rely on a considerable number of supporters, not counting those who have been fabricated. Nevertheless, money is being printed like there’s no tomorrow, which there may well not be. The value of the dollar has plunged 12% since June of this year. Obama’s appointee to the Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke, has tried to assure investors by coining the term “deficit accommodating,” which everyone knows is only a synonym for “debt accumulating.” Similarly, the flood of fiat dollars which he calls “quantitative easing” really signifies “qualitative hardship.” And Americans will demonstrably feel more of it the longer they wait to issue a new Emancipation Proclamation ending the reign of the ideologically driven left.
Time, like the United States treasury, is running out. Unless the sense of internal sobriety and external vigilance is renewed — and soon — one hesitates to think what the future holds.

I’ve been voting since 1980 - this is one of the most important elections in 26 years. Our country’s future is at stake. Obama MUST be stopped.

I cannot say that this election is a total rejection of Obama, because Obama did not place us in this mess alone.
The Democrats in Congress certainly allowed him to lead them ,but they followed willingly. They are as guilty as he, they were told early on that they were committing political suicide with this radical health care Bill, but they voted for it. They have no one to blame but themselves.
They stopped representing the majority of Americans and were swayed by loud liberasl with their hands out.
Certainly this is a rejection of Obama, but it is also a rejection of the Socialism the Democrats have been poushing.

Democrats want to sell us Big Government and its ensuing Big Deficit socialism by the pitcher, (lately by the barrelful,) Republicans only offer it up a glass or two at a time.
Same here. Ronald Reagan was the first president I voted for, and I have never missed an election since then. I might not vote on every issue, but I do vote
That is somewhat partly correct. Remember he was part of it from 2007 until he got elected. The major part of the blame though goes to the democrats in the House and the Senate, especially Pelosi and Reid
They have incrementally instituted their failed political and economic philosophies throughout the political, commercial and academic infrastructure of this country. 2008 - 2010 was the culmination of a movement started a long time ago.
Unrestrained federal power, and the loss of individual liberty that accompanies it, didn't show up in 2008.
This election is the beginning of the attempt to reverse it.
I believe one of the most important aspects of the Tea Party movement is it has exposed the truth that has been buried within our Republican Party.
It has shown us who the real ‘movers and shakers’ are and who have held us back from being a truly great party.
It has exposed them to the light of day and when challenged by the Tea Party they show their true agenda and then they try to save their political lives by switching party’s or denouncing the the Tea Party.
Peeling back the onions layers one by one can be painful but at the core rests the truth.
