A gunman's saggy pants and a bright red dye pack derailed a bank robbery this afternoon on the Southeast Side, the FBI said.

Well, I’m glad he didn’t kill or hurt anybody. That said, what makes these idiots think they look cool with their butt cracks showing and their waistbands around their knees? They look like toddlers wearing daddy’s pants. Of course, they don’t have daddies, so maybe that’s what it’s all about.
That said, at least the folks in the bank lived to laugh about it.
He put one bank employee in the hospital after hitting him in the head with the butt of the rifle.
We still need Harry Callahan to drive through the glass front into the lobby of the bank with a gigantic boat of a 70s Chrysler and smoke him with a Model 29. :-)

Not good. I’m just happy all the employees lived, though, and that this guy’s stupid butt is now the main symbol of his life.
When he goes to jail, which he will, I wish some good Christian would visit him and tell him there’s a heck of a lot better life that he could be leading than being the laughing stock of the Internet.
Funniest damn thing I ever saw was a rumble between a group of punks with saggy pants. They fought with one hand holding up their pants and were falling all over.
A .30 cal M1 carbine? Not your best bank robbing weapon. Too easy for someone to grab and take it away from you. I wish someone had taken it away from him and put 2 into him with his own gun.

I keep telling people that this whole saggy pants thing was actually an invention of the man, to suit purposes just like this one. You can’t run from the police if your pants are dangling around your ankles. The only thing that would be more effective would be a pop-up basketball goal right outside the bank door, to be activated remotely whenever a robbery occurs. The cops could just drive right up and casually arrest the perp at their leisure.
They all walk around here holding their pants up with one hand in their crotches. They look like little boys needing to piddle. Stupid thugs.
Now ain’t this just somthin. Back in the ‘60s, if you were on the job, the first thing you looked for was “felony shoes,” high waters, and a snuggy jacket (not a hoody).

The real drug runners that started this “fad” never wear these moronic pants. The trend began when drug dealers passed through someone else’ territory. They dropped trow to show that they were just passing through and not doing business, so don’t shoot. But, the pants they wore, when hiked up, let them sprint like the devil was after them if need be.
These wannabe “gangstaz” are just stupid. And stupid is as stupid does.

Actually, let’s think this through. The .30 carbine is a one handed gun. A hand gun with something that you could call rifle power. You CAN shoot the bugger with one hand, with reasonable accuracy. It has a huge intimidation factor if you put on a 30 round clip. Now it looks like an evil “assault rifle.” (try to shoot an ak one handed, not a good idea)
Yes, the bullet is anemic, but in a bank robber situation, its a little more effective than a 9mm, plus it holds lots more bang stuff.
In the hands of a “qualified” individual, someone who knew how to use it, it would have been a whole nuther story.
But by wearing those baggies, somehow I don’t think our perp was terribly qualified.
