O'Donnell: NRSC didn't help me
Politico ^ | 11/2/10 | Andy Barr

Posted on 11/02/2010 3:33:19 PM PDT by FTJM

Delaware Republican Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell complained Monday night that the National Republican Senatorial Committee did not give her the resources she needed to win.

O’Donnell credited Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele for being supportive of her candidacy, but told Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren that the NRSC hasn’t provided enough help.

“Michael Steele has come to Delaware and campaigned for us,” O’Donnell said. “The RNC has been very supportive.

“I would have liked it if the NRSC had done something,” she added. “My opponent is horrible on so many issues. He stands to personally make millions from cap and trade.”

O’Donnell is down by double digits in numerous public polls, and in races across the country the national campaign committees have reallocated resources to competitive races.

She has complained about the NRSC in the past — even after it gave the maximum $42,000 to her campaign — which Washington Republicans suggest is just an attempt to further endear herself to grass-roots supporters.

Additionally, O'Donnell has not had a fundraising problem, raising $3.8 million in the month after her surprising primary win over Rep. Mike Castle.

Wasn't that right after Teh One's victory?

And a history of trashing Palin supporters and quoting Politico to dump on Christine O'Donnell?

Is it getting closer to time for a new bug-zapper thread?

Cheers!

Wow, responding to Palin attackers and posting Politico threads should be banned now on FR? FYI, 214 threads and 3,085 replies since that date but nice try Sherlock. Barring the lack of logic, if signing up on that date wasn't allowed, registration would have been blocked.

Cheers!

People with much more seniority within FR, and who were much better known than you, were taken out during the bug zapper thread for supporting Guiliani.

Just a friendly warning not to criticize the Tea Party and Palin too much around here.

Cheers!

Oh, from the picture you posted I now understand where the term “First Wookie” originated.

You do realize that the TEA Party is not one monolithic group don't you? It's a grassroots movement consisting of many groups, and I wholeheartedly support the movement (just not blindly). Just curious, did you support Carly Fiorina in spite of the TEA Party Express' support of Chuck DeVore? If so, maybe you should be zapped (using your logic). BTW, I did support Devore (and still think he was the right choice).

Cheers!

I supported Chuck DeVore until Fiorina supplanted him; I reluctantly supporter her thereafter (IIRC, she was supposed to be pro-life: quite rare for high level Pubbies in CA).

Nor do I support it blindly: but I often find the use of the word "blindly" to be a liberal "tell". Sometimes the inborn tendency towards autofellatory superciliousness is too hard for a liberal to suppress, and the attitude slips out.

Cheers!

So you supported Fiorina only after she won the primary? FYI, wanting people banned for posting links you don't like is a liberal tell.

Cheers!

FWIW, I believe she had a shot had it not been for Rove, Kraut, and the NRSC. Sure...the NRSC gave her a little money, but they didn’t run ads for her. She didn’t get much help at all until last week when Alexander and the Fire Pelosi bus came to town.

I give Michaeal Steele props for that.

Never thought I would say that. ;o)

The definitive refutation of that is the bug-zapper thread.

The GOP better watch their backs. Christine could have easily won this election with their support (just like Angle in NV). The tea party is on the rise. Look at the states where the tea party candidate was actually on the ballot (FL,CO). What were the GOP totals in THOSE states? Open your eyes GOP or it will be like that in every state. If you DARE to nominate someone like Mitt in ‘12 YOU ARE DONE!

If Rove and the GOP had any class they would have gotten behind O’Donnell and mentor her through the mind fields.

I blame Rove and the GOP for being shortsighted and mean spirited they gave O’Donnell the kiss of death when they were backbitting her.

No more smokey back rooms and scratch back deals

It is so clear when Polosi was removed from her calling when the house flipped and Reid could have lost his calling if the GOP was not in bed with the backer scratchers.

I will never send a dime to the GOP.

In just two years Reid will lose his calling for stronger tea is being brewed...

I’ll bump this. I see no reason why Christine would lie about what happened. Looks like it’s war between the Republican establishment and us little people. So be it!

Not only did they not help her, they did everything they could to hurt her. Karl Rove, after she took the RINO out, and it was determined that she was a serious threat to the status quo, immediately attacked he. So called “conservative” talk show hosts, such as Todd Schnitt attacked her. Members on this forum attacked her. Her only support was people who wished to get back to Constitutional government. Unfortunately for the State of Delaware, there were not enough of those. Her crime to those who attacked her? She defeated their RINO in the primary.

HMMM. According to O’Donnell on Fox News this morning, the NRSC has an active FEC complaint against her campaign that they never withdrew from the primary fight. Sounds like more of the GOP old guard helping the Democrats rather than see a conservative tea party candidate elected.
