I agree but that means no to Palin and possibly DeMint. Either people stop calling everyone that isn’t 100% conservative a RINO or we will continue this 3 party death spiral. More emphasis needs to be placed on primaries and voting for the most electable conservative. The tea party is a force to hold conservative accountable and I dont mind a Mike Castle getting kicked to the curb, we just have to be more carefull in hindsight of CO & NV.
[ Colorado is BLUE because the clowns that destroyed California with their liberal votes lost their jobs and moved to Colorado. Seriously.
I use to think I would love to retire in Colorado. Now it is INFESTED with former Californians intent on voting for the same liberal beliefs that destroyed the state they cut and run from. ]
The only thing keeping Colorado alive right now is TABOR, and the clowns from california want to get rid of it...
Really disappointed about Frazier. We have been Californiacted!

Well, I guess I’m completely devistated with that decision - especially in light of such an insightful observation.
Yes, and everyone who can’t count is thumping their chests about winning the House and all of those two-year terms. You know, those two-year terms that will trend back to the Democrats in many cases because it’s no longer a wave election.
Meanwhile, we lost winnable SIX-YEAR Senate seat after winnable SIX-YEAR Senate seat.
I’m done. I don’t care if I’m the only person FR who changes, but I’m done with the 100% purity crap. No more. I’m going with the Buckley rule, period. If that means I have to actively work against a Ken Buck in the primary, so be it.
Ain't that the truth.
“Colorado, Arizona, and the Pacific Northwest are experiencing on the West Coast what various southern states are experiencing on the East Coast. Leftists destroy whatever state they are in (NY, NJ, CT, CA) and then flee to nice conservative states because of better taxes, nicer people, more jobs, and so on and then proceed to try to turn those states into the leftist hell-hole that they left because they are too stupid to connect their politics with what they do to a state. I liken them to a swarm of locusts that eats a field bare and then moves on to a new field to destroy.”
Liberals are cancer.
Interesting. Purity over victory.
Of course, Coons won, and unlike Castle he'll never vote with the R's under any circumstances.
So you didn't actually gain anything.
Thanks. That makes me feel a little better. We could have had the governor’s race this cycle:
a. if the Repubs had put forth a decent candidate. Could Josh Penry have taken it had taken it had he stayed in the race?
b. if Maes had done the decent thing in August or whenever.
c. if Maes supporters had pulled their heads out.
We’ve been visiting relatives in Denver every couple of years since the 70’s. It’s amazing just what a craphole Denver has become. I would NEVER move to Colorado. A beautiful place run by incredibly corrupt pols. California in the Rockies.
That’s okay. Colorado businesses can relocate here pretty easily.... if there’s any room left after all the Kalifornia businesses take up space.
Maybe you cam get Mark Levin to run in VT next time.
I’m sure all the Freepers will turn out, and that will be enough.
The whole “Norton is a Washington insider” meme who was not conservative enough (RINO) was a total lie by the Buck campaign and Red State. If you look at what both candidates stood for it was exactly the same thing (except for Buck’s 10th Amendment argument about medical marijuana). In the end Buck won the primary with lies against Norton and he will lose with lies against him by Bennet.
I was not going to vote for Maes, no way/no how.
I have ethics and morals.
If it wasn't for Tancredo, I would have skipped a vote for the first time in all the decades I've been able to vote.
Clearly in Colorado, Maes was considered the third party and no where near a conservative.
Maes was a long shot from even being a RINO.
Even the Dem. money makers in Colorado sank ~$500K into Maes campaign just to hurt Tancredo.
...and Gardner against Markey. Some people in CO still have some sense.
"Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty."
And conservatives don't pay attention. We've got better things to do, and never seem to notice that we've lost control until too late.
And when we finally do notice, we have no idea how to turn it all around.
We're to blame for a lot of our problems.
Same here.
Same here. I would have voted in the other races, but skipped the governor's race.
If you think about it, the 7th is where lower income (government subsidized) folks have moved since Denver has gentrified. The inner ring of Adams/Arapahoe (Aurora) and inner Jeffco are full net tax receivers rather than payers.
I didn’t lose anything either. Victory is fleeting. Purity is forever.
We’ll have to agree to disagree. Castle would’ve been bad news, IMHO. Thank goodness we control the purse strings with the House now.
Not true. The rino was purged
