“But it showed that the tea party didn’t really do a good job of vetting candidates before they pushed them to primary victories.”

I can certainly agree with that statement in regards to Maes. I actually thought he looked great after they pushed him at the beginning.
Then as more came out, I (like others) got really disappointed and concerned.

That was about the time Tancredo stepped forward and made his offer that if Maes ran, he would too unless the GOP intervened with a solid candidate (I believe Hank Brown was suggested).

Other than Buck and Tancredo here in Colorado, I am glad we got Sec. of State. Soros has pumped so much money into his “Secretary of State project nationwide, and I had fears we would not win that one”.

And even though I am not in Betsy Marky’s district, I REALLY am glad she lost.

And nationwide?
Oh the joys of Pelosi losing Speaker!
Taking the House made it all worth it.
There are 33 Senate seats up for grabs in 2012, and 24 of
those are Democrat.

Personally, I'm ready to start working on defeating those Dems.

“And even though I am not in Betsy Marky’s district, I REALLY am glad she lost.”

Well, I’m in “her” district, now Cory Gardner’s district, and I put a lot of effort into helping Cory win, including donating big bucks, sponsoring fund raisers for him, supporting him at the one debate, and writing online and newspaper articles supporting him (google: gardner markey debate). Cory’s a great guy, and I expect some day in the not too distant future, we’ll see U.S. Senator Gardner.

So, yeah, I’m glad Markey lost too: she’s a lying creep, and too stupid do anything put cast her vote the way she was told to by her masters.

I can’t see how you being “done” will matter one way or another to the rest of us. As long as you vote for whoever the rest of us nominate, it’s all good.

Fu*k Castle. He voted for the worst bill in the history of the Republic (Cap-n-trade) accept for Hart-Celler. He deserved to loose!

Heres a link to the American Spectator article about it.

Soros is working on putting in as many state-level Secretary of State positions as he can prior to the 2012 elections.

He openly thinks this is the best way to defeat Capitalism in fafor of European-stype socialism.
The article provides a link to other info so as to follow up on that claim.

The name (and this is the actual name) of the effort is: 'The Secretary of State Project' - and it is a 527 group.

Anyway, here is the link to the American Spectator article:

When Ken Buck was up 4-5% in the polls, the RNC/NRSC pulled his advertising budget (big $$$) to put it into California against the Boxer and Brown races.

Do you have a link handy for this background info?

Yeah, it was a downer that the R/AC party in Colorado didn't take the governorship, and it looks like Buck is going down...but the Rs in CO have added to the House:

Book is titled: “The Blueprint: How Democrats Won Colorado (And Why Republicans Everywhere Should Care)” by Witwer and Schrager.

And spend $23 million plus in state political advertising blanketing the Internet and airwaves chanting "Buck is too Extreme" Blah blah blah....

Buck should have countered with his own chants saying Bennet's Communism is tooooo extreme for Colorado.

Totally agree. Buck kind of wandered around in a coma. I thought it was telling yesterday afternoon when both the Buck and Bennet camps were asked what the candidates were doing for election day. Bennet’s folks said he was campaigning until the polls closed. Buck’s said he made a few early appearances, voted and was resting.

I presume most CO Republicans would happily trade it for the governorship and senate seats, but it appears the they’ll be spared minority party status. Learn and do better next time. The Tea Party should be able to adjust better than monolithic Democrats.

No I do not. And my apologies that I can not find one.
I normally do not make those statements unless I have a source, and I am unable to locate where I read it.

Hopefully, it wasn’t just speculation that I read, but
normally I discern between speculation and fact and do not post any but the fact (unless the speculation is my own).

I’ll look further tonight, however.

Well, I followed up on my post #113, and not only am I not able to find a link, but what links I did find claim otherwise - e.g. NRSC was putting more money into Colorado ads instead of less due to polls.

Apologies.
i’ll be more careful next time
