I’m prolly in the minority here, but I was touched by Boehner’s words last night.
After I heard it, a thought occurred to me. Obama should listen to it. And listen to it again. And one more time, just for good measure.
Because perhaps if he did, Obama might “get it.” Boehner’s life experience mirrors most Americans’ experience and it’s why we fight so hard. Good grief, a child of a big family, helping out with the family business who works his way through school. That is at least half the people I have ever known in my life.
BUT IT IS NOTHING OBAMA HAS EVER KNOWN. Everything was handed to him. Boehner’s experience is as foreign to Obama as Obama’s experience is foreign to us.
sorry for the double post
not sure where that came from!
My Superhero ability to harness my farts and put them into pressurized tanks to sell for bags of rice isn't enough?
I mean, look at me!
I hope he does well for us.
Boehner has earned my respect these last 2 years by keeping the house republicans all on the same page in opposing Obama’s marxist agenda(it had to be like herding cats). Boehner was also one of the early ones to listen to the Tea Party and take them seriously. His speech last night was very touching and came from a pure heart.
He gets my support because he has gone a long way in redeeming the GOP and getting them this second chance. Cantor is another story imho. I don’t trust him yet. He seems a little squirelly to me.
