New Delhi: The White House will, of course, stay in Washington but the heart of the famous building will move to India when President Barack Obama lands in Mumbai on Saturday.
Communications set-up and nuclear button and majority of the White House staff will be in India accompanying the President on this three-day visit that will cover Mumbai and Delhi.
He will also be protected by a fleet of 34 warships, including an aircraft carrier, which will patrol the sea lanes off the Mumbai coast during his two-day stay there beginning Saturday. The measure has been taken as Mumbai attack in 2008 took place from the sea.

Well, just to make you feel better about it, the Pentagon says the idea of 34 ships being diverted for this visit is absurd. A carrier force is ‘only’ 10-12 ships and the WH says the $200mm/day figure is vastly overstated ,perhaps by 5x, which would mean it’s only 40mm/day. Feeling better yet?

President Obama is spending two billion dollars on a ten day trip to India to bring an entourage of thousands protected by the US Navy’s entire 7th Fleet just to visit a museum dedicated to peace.
If that doesn’t perfectly capture what this man is all about, nothing does.
Sounds like he is planning on setting up a presidency in exile.
Maybe he knows something about a huge event that will happen in Washington while he is in India. Nuclear weapon anyone?
