Instead, McConnell should muster his Republican repeal votes and the votes of scared dems to a majority, not for the purpose of passing repeal, but for the purpose of political advertising to eject Obama or any dem candidate in 2012. Then 67 votes for repeal will not be needed.

Uh no he didn’t say that in toto. You haven’t read all of what McConnell said in the latest PR release. Only a portion is in this thread.
He said that we would have to settle for passing legislation to deconstruct parts of Obamacare.
What I said is that you should not let him play those cards, because it allows him to think we approve of his piecemeal approach.
You should understand McConnell is a consumate compromiser who will sell us out in the name of ‘realism’. He has a long history of telling folks like you what your ears want to hear but then backing off in the name of ‘realism’.
What I said is that he should propose only legislation that repeals the entire mess regardless of ‘realism’.
Here’s an analogy:
Dad gets laid off. Mom McConnell says oh well, guess we have to cancel our family vacation to Disneyland and settle for a cheaper vacation to Six Flags because we have to act with ‘realism’.
We should say to Mom McConnell that we don’t need to do either until Dad is fully employed again. Instead we should camp out at City Hall with children, friends and family and have a barbecue protest.
What you are falling for is McConnell’s poker tactics that he uses on people like you.
He is giving you a choice: realism or fantasy 2011. And you should say I refuse both and will take the new realism of 2012, and in the meantime I want you to referee and block the bastards.
McConnell thinks he has to do something in the form of legislation. No he doesn’t. He has to do something in the form of oversight, block, investigations and prosecutions in manner that enhances Wave II of the battle to be in 2012.
