My Opponent Homeschools Her Children
Rardin for Kansas ^ | 11/1/2010 | Democrat State Rep. Gene Rardin

Posted on 11/05/2010 10:03:31 AM PDT by Qbert

If you are not aware of this, you should be, before you vote.  I taught in SM Schools and support funding for a strong public education system. I demonstrated my belief by attending SM Schools as did both of my children.

Amanda Grosserode does not understand the importance of our public schools and has demonstrated that lack of understanding by withdrawing her own children from public schools in favor of home schooling.

“Actually you tone deaf dimwit, it sounds like she has a crystal clear understanding of the public school system.”

Exactly.

Good riddance, Rardin...

Funny how people affiliated with the public school system don’t seem to understand this...

>>Anyone who has kids and either can’t or won’t home-school/private school is a monster. For all intents and purposes they are guilty of murdering their own children. May they experience nothing but sorrow and agony forever.

>Wow... really? I went through public school and I’m fine. Wow...

Really? Are you truly fine?
Do you believe that someone serving their sentence for a crime they were convicted of has paid their debt to society; and if you do, then do you agree with the laws prohibiting felons from firearms or voting?

Do you agree that the commission of a felony should even result in conviction of a crime?
{ http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4097602514885833865# wait for the mention of LOBSTERS. }

The reason, IMO, because crap like this exists is precisely BECAUSE the public schools do not teach any thinking skill, but a mindless obedience to someone claiming a position of authority.

This would not be a problem if the schools actually did what they were designed to do. Turn out an educated citizenry. Skills in English language, mathematics, sciences, and taught the concepts of liberty, and citizenship. They should have been taught classic literature, classic music, and theater. Taught to compete and for victory, and to accept defeat with grace and the fortitude to persevere to achieve victory in the future.

As it stands now, the public schools turn out illiterate punk libertine socialist parasites who think so little of their freedom they would gladly surrender it to continue to indulge in their narcissism.

There may be few instances where the public schools function nominally well, but they are over-run with near-do-well socialists, communists, and perverts. It has become a soggy boondoggle full of group think and mediocrity.

It has become apparent over the last 5-6 years that the public schools are so corrupted by the marxists that they should be shut down in their entirety and purged of the incompetents, communists, homosexuals, and miscreants of every stripe right down to the janitors.

They should then be privatized and new teachers hired with testing for competence in the basics of citizenship, math, science, and literature.

Union representation will be prohibited by law.

From one homeschooler to another: how could you get your point across in a much more persuasive and effective way?

We're not trying to kill the system. The system is God's to redeem or destroy. We're just trying avoid what seems to us to be an obvious socialist mistake.

None of them have a clue. Before the election, I got a robocall from the Etheridge campaign. They wanted to “warn” me that Renee Ellmers supports vouchers for school children.

Yeah, we certainly can’t have poor children going to private schools. They might get an education, and that would lead to them becoming Republican voters. /sarc

Public schools are the reason Obama was elected.

They are the reason the Democrats are even competitive.

They are the reason we have a generation of leftists who graduated over the past decade.

From her Facebook page

Amanda Grosserode for State Representative: I am finally home from the watch party and celebration at the Marriott! Thank you all for the support. And for those that haven’t heard yet, we won 55-45%! You are all amazing, and it could not have been done without you!

Go to his site and post his idiotic comment on Twitter and Facebook, along with your comments. Make him the laughingstock he deserves to be.

What the heck? Dial it down a bit geez. Your questions are quite general btw. Should a crime be punished if commited? Really? What's w/ the tantrum?

A bit over the top. Eventually your kids are going to have to go out there and face "them". The indoctrination and the pressure only intensifies in college and beyond. My own sister, very conservative family, didn't lose her kids to leftist drivel until they were both in their late 20s. Eventually, they both succumbed to the pressure.

My advice to anyone would be give your kids the foundation, understanding and tools they need to understand who and what the left is and how and why they operate like they do.

What a mind numbingly stupid statement.

“Anyone who has kids and either can’t or won’t home-school/private school is a monster. For all intents and purposes they are guilty of murdering their own children.”

I'm surprised you generate enough wattage to breath in and breath out without help.

I would suggest to post something erudite; something ironic and way over his public-school lovin’ head...

Agree 100%. Very good post. I know that my parents gave me a very strong Christian Conservative base that was challenged multiple times in HS (graduated 2005) and in college.

Rarden is a perfect example of why our public school system should be dismantled.
