There are no civil words to describe the despicable nature of this regime.

Ridiculous.

After 90 days, they should have only the option to take a lesser job with the gov’t paying the difference between that paycheck and the former unemployment check.

To the extent that recalls to a former job are protected, those protections should continue for a specified period of time.

Really, though, if someone is an excellent worker, then they’ll get called back. Their name will be on someone’s list with a bullet.

NO Bitch, the MORAL obligation is for the Government to create a Business climate where UE is NOT needed.

I am sick to death of Dummies and their minions.

I’m facing unemployment in a couple months, and I think this is irresponsible.

The moral thing to do would be for the Obama regime to get out of the way and quit passing job killing bills.

Nothing about this regime is moral. Nothing.

I thought you couldn’t legislate morality.

This is requiring citizens to tithe to Obama’s particular system of Christianity. He himself invoked the “my brother’s keeper” line (misattibuting it to Jesus).

Mothers have a moral obligation to NOT abort their babies.

NO, the governments moral obligation is to get the hell out of the way, quit regulating and taxing our jobs offshore, and let the private sector run the markets and the economy. Then there would be plenty of jobs and unemployment would be an emergency stopgap program and a lot less would be would be needed.

The Government's "moral obligation" is infrastructure and security...you be nice and we'll loan you the money to take care of those two things...personally, I think the states can do it better.

Allowing people to suck off the government tit is one of the worst crimes against humanity. It does nothing but destroy the will and freedom endowed by our creator to us.

It would cost less. Now we pay 100% of the unemployment check.

This way the gov’t would be paying 50% or less, the person would be working, and the possibility of moving up in the new organization would reduce the payment amount even more.

Of course, one alternative is to pay zero unemployment whatsoever. A purist could go that direction and still have an effective argument.

Then I am a purist.

The government has no responsibility for your living wages. None, nada, zip. You are responsible for your own productiveness.

Well, I’m going to work at McDonalds ior do whatever I can, I won’t be forced into it.
I believe Frederic Bastiat said, paraphrasing, socialism is the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Maybe it’s because in my ongoing 40 years of working I have only gotten six weeks of unemployment
check, but anyone sucking the teat of government for more than 90 days needs to be forced to work
for their government checks.

There is ALWAYS something out there that needs done unless you are really disabled or a lazy SOB.
