Tin Foil Turbans: The 6 Stupidest Conspiracy Theories that Millions of Muslims Believe
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | November 7, 2010 | Kathy Shaidle

"But the biggest problem with conspiracy theories is that they keep us not only from the truth but also from confronting our faults and problems. …This way of thinking relates any given problem to external elements, and thus does not [lead] to a rational policy to confront the problem. He who speaks of ghosts [as the reason behind any given problem] can do nothing to solve it."

"Anyone, who adopts the conspiracy theory becomes so helpless that he ends up surrendering or committing suicide. The thinking of conspiracy theorists shifts between surrender and suicide, between helplessness and passivity, between negligence and failure."

-- Dr. Abd Al-Mun'im Sa'id, 1999

During the Q&A at Mark Steyn's recent "controversial" speech burlesque song-and-dance routine (no, really...) in London, Ontario, a young man rose to ask Steyn a question.

"I am Iranian," he began -- leading our gang ensconced in "bloggers row" to turn in unison to the Iranian ex-pat in our group for his verdict. After the questioner got out another sentence, our friend rolled his eyes and muttered, "Idiot..."

The Iranian up at the mic had asked a reasonable question about how much the U.S. had armed Iraq before they decided Iraq was their enemy and invaded them. (Steyn's answer: according to a Stockholm "peace research institute", only 1% of arms sales to Iraq since the 1970s had come from America. Most came from France and Germany. Ooops.)

What came next led everyone else in the hall to roll their eyes.

I loved her COEXIST op-ed/blog. I posted it on FR a couple of days ago. Front Page Magazine and its blogs are on point and daily reads.

Another web site you may like, very sarcastic but on point about the islamo-cultists and fakestinians, is plancksconstant.org.

Here the lnik: http://www.plancksconstant.org/

I read a story earlier this week and was laughing my ass off.Seems an Egyptian cleric issued an edict that Muslims should cover their mouths when yawning. If they didn’t,Satan would urinate into their mouths.
How can anyone deal with people this ignorant?

I suspect a lot of liberals also believe in these conspiracy theories. Number one is especially popular with our friends on the left.

60 minutes recently had an article on a once radical muslim that converted to sanity while in prison and is now trying to educate his fellow muslims about their lunacy. They had a segment with Diane Sawyer in Pakistan and she was asking some students what they thought of the US and the results were amazingly stupid conspiracy theories, such as the CIA was behind 9/11, etc. It is unbelievable that these children were college students, they must have never been taught to think for themselves.

the Sodas of Doom

A non-Muslim West African told me that a very widely-held conspiracy theory in his country is that Pepsi makes men impotent. A Chinese citizen told me that exactly the same rumor exists in China. This caused to wonder if some of these rumors were spread by Coke representatives. Maybe Pepsi does the same thing. Maybe they adjust the rumors for various countries.

I really believed all that stuff, too!
Special the part about muslims being too stupid to pull 911 off. It took them 60 years to find those pilots who couldn't quite master navigation, landing and all that math stuff...

islam : a laugh a minute. Now if we could just keep them away from sharp tools and explosives...

From the same issue:

#2664 - Egyptian Cleric Wagdi Ghoneim: If You Don't Cover Your Mouth When You Yawn, Satan Will Urinate in Your Mouth

Remember the Ayatollah Khomeini telling male followers how many times they were to tug on their schlongs before commencing urination? Leaders who insist on the proper Islamic way to pee and those who follow them will believe virtually anything.

Hamas suspects that Israeli intelligence services are supplying its Gaza Strip stronghold with chewing gum that boosts the sex drive in order to “corrupt the young,” an official said on Tuesday.

. . .foreigners were shaking hands with Sudanese men and causing their penises to disappear.”

Man, how cold is that. Get them all hot and horny and make their penises disappear.
