“Maybe I just have the look of an old business traveler road-dog, but none of my pat downs have been as bad as described here.”

You are also not trying to write a story about it with an angle already pre-selected.

The thought of having to go through one of these with my daughters is very upsetting, but with the other choice being “physical molestation” what choice is there really. I do not know when we fly again.

Something I have wondered, just out of curiousity, is whatever happened to “illegal search and seizure”?

It seems that if they have no just cause to pat down my 17yo daughter, then they should not.

Fact is the only way to protest this invasive false sense of security is to boycott the airlines, which is what I do.

I would love to see a protest actually in the line, like “I have a right to an attorney, before you search me”.

The sheeple have been lulled into a loss of liberty.

Next, don’t get me started on school “lockdowns”. I will save that for another thread.

I bought a used boat this year, at least in part, as a response to all this air travel nonsense. We are also considering a used RV purchase. I don’t want to choose between radiation and sexual assault for my wife and nine year old daughter.

Couple of serious questions:

There is NO testing to prove that the radiation dosages are safe or unsafe. Just no studies at all.

If one has a medical condition that requires radiation treatments, will the TSA tattoo new radiation entry points on your skin?

Or if I work in an industry that provides radiation badges and religiously tracks lifetime radiation exposure, do these scannings affect my ability to keep my job?

Do airline pilots, FA and frequent fliers need to add these scans to their lifetime allotment of radiation?

Forget my feelings about having my 14 y.o. scanned (NO!), there is just not enough information to tell a jury in 2020 when the first TSA induced cancers appear.

If 10% of the travelers (or less) decided to “opt out” every single time, the entire system would grind to a halt. It’s called civil disobedience.

Yup. Too many people are really sheeple.

... why on earth do we have to declare what we do with our own money??

This is done under the auspices of "The War on Drugs" and is just one of its evils. A black landscaper in Texas was going to Mexico to buy plants and he was taking cash for that purpose. Someone stopped him, I don't remember if it was Customs, Border Patrol, or whomever, but they confiscated his cash, $14,000, as drug bounty and threatened to take his vehicle.

The war on drugs does more harm that good. I suggest that we allow the Mexican Drug lords and gangs to go to Afghanistan and fight the Taliban for the poppy fields. At least they don't impose Sharia law and it would get them out of our neighborhood for a while.

NO MORE INSPECTIONS at all except for ones like El Al where PROFILERS look for the bad guys. Just think about it, we now have armored cockpits that are very resistant to intrusion. If we allow our fellow citizens on without these carry-on restrictions, then a bad guy will probably be lucky to get 5 feet before he becomes the victim. We know the alternatives and I, for one will be glad to be a martyr to the cause of AMERICAN FREEDOM!

The only problem with this proposal is that it doesn't increase the power of the government. All that was needed post 9/11 was to make it known that everyone on the plane could bring along whatever arms they wanted to protect the aircraft. The flight crew would be armed as well. An additional declaration that for every single individual killed or injured during a terrorist attack of any kind, one mosque at random would be turned into rubble.

I’m certain that GovCo will find a way to take away my 25 year old Volvo, but, for now, it is kind of a stealth vehicle that is associated more with left wing pencil necks than old right wing extremists. My “Palin 2012” stickers from Jeff Head turn more than a few heads during my travels.
