Telling voters they've lost their minds probably isn't an effective comeback strategy for Democrats.

But there was more venting than introspection when Palm Beach County Democratic leaders and activists gathered Thursday night to ponder the future of the party after Tuesday's Republican midterm election tsunami.

"One of the bad things about fear and anger is that they are emotions that cloud our judgment, and that is what happened across these United States," state Rep. Steven Perman, D-Boca Raton, told the county Democratic Executive Committee meeting.

"With the hammer of the Republican side, through their media outlets and all the half-truths and mistruths, they made the public so fearful and so angry that they lost their minds and they made bad decisions," Perman said.

Perman, newly elected without opposition to a heavily Democratic seat, backed away from his "lost their minds" assessment the next day, but stood by his fear-and-anger diagnosis.

It was one of many recalibrations Florida and national Democrats undoubtedly will be making in coming weeks and months as they try to dig out from under Tuesday's landslide.

IF ‘fear & anger’ is their benchmark tirade for the next 2 years, we can easily find the money to beat them in 2012.

Yeah, voters are too stupid to understand Alan Grayson’s “explanations” of the way things are. < snort >

What, South Florida Dems strategy of releasing the social security numbers of their Republican opponents, and then attacking their Republican opponents as untrustworthy didn’t work? Screw them and the union thugs that were their campaigns.

Yes, yes, keep believing that and next time campaign on that basis. A unified message. That’s the ticket. And make sure to keep Nancy Pelosi and Obama as your leaders. And follow them unfailingly. You’re sure to win then......

Day after the election, once again liberal democrats were saying that American voters are “stupid” and “voted against their financial interests”.

As if Socialism ever works out well for anyone but the Politburo.

Angry, mindless, and bad decision maker or not, I made the Right choices at the ballot box...which were MUCH better than choosing your ilk.

Go do anatomically impossible, Biblically prohibited things to yourself, you parasitic paternalistic condescending piece of putredinous pond scum.
