Oh my, I had a horrible thought when reading this.

Could this case set precedence regarding laws protecting the right of conscience in the cases of Catholics and other pro-life Christians refusing to perform abortions?

No - and I concur with post #114, also answering your question: Sharia is intended to set up a competing legal system independent of our Constitutional system — all the way down to the state/local levels. Not only that, but one could successfully argue, IMHO, that a government endorsement of Sharia for Islamic peoples is tantamout to the establishment of a religion — clearly in violation of Amendment 1.

Because of both these reasons, this judge’s ruling should be vigorously appealed, and she should be impeached for blatantly failing to abide by her oath.
