I believe the Reid “victory” can be attributed to four factors:
1. Voter fraud
2. The casino owners ordering out the vote
3. The failure of the GOP to organize at the grass roots
4. The failure of the conservative movement to have one single serious organization that tackles grass roots organizing and cyber precinct building.

The RNC could have helped overcome the first three. To overcome the fourth, we need a new conservative organization run by others than those now siphoning off money from major contributors.

scary screid won by 40,500 votes - yes 5.5%. I’m sure those SEIU voting machines and the barely reported controversy about Harrah’s had Nuthin’ to do with that gap - nuthin’.

On another note, I wonder if an overwhelming force would vote screid out if the UR for NV was 18 to 20%+ in 2016? In other words, why was this race close?

Please explain #4 more, and especially your comment about siphoning off money from major contributors...I’m intrigued what you’re thinking about here.

Quote: “At the moment, our working hypothesis centers around the measure of enthusiasm and certainty to vote questions. Republicans and Republican-leaning unaffiliated voters were clearly fired up, ready to vote and following the election closely. But a larger-than-anticipated number of less fired up and less committed voters came to the polls for Reid. “

If that were the case, then dhy didn’t democrats do better up and down the ticket? Why was Harry the only democrat that did well?

‘As I watched the paper ballot in the NY polls, I thought how easy it would be to just mark a bunch of them and slide them in at the end of the day

this new paperless ballot sucks big time’

So you’re saying both methods are fraud ridden. How shall we prevent fraud, in your view?

Somehow Harry got ‘em out to the polls (GOTV is the polite way of saying Chicago, or Tammany or whatever ‘machine’ you want to refer to.) Look, back in the day, you voted for the RAT in Chicago (and these days too to some degree) or you lost your job. I think that’s what happened here to - but the propaganda press won’t touch this with a 10 foot poll, and we’ve got Scott Rasmussen (who I like) giving Reid credit for GOTV...isn’t that a bit like giving Capone credit for bustin’ skulls? Just askin’...

“If only it were true, ‘What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.’”

I haven’t heard one peep about this out of the propagandist press...perhaps it is true in the case of RATS.

Big business is in bed with big government. If the gov can assume the cost of benefits, better for them.

The cure? Smaller govt where this crap can’t get passed off on taxpayers.

Voter registration is also available from your local County Board of Registrars. You may also obtain voter registration services at the following state and local government offices and agencies:

Driver’s licensing office
County and select municipal public libraries
Department of Human Resources
WIC Program, Department of Public Health
Medicaid Agency
Department of Rehabilitation Services
The postcard voter registration form is also available at:

Public 4-year universities
Select private 4-year universities
Driver’s licensing office
County and select municipal public libraries
Department of Human Resources
WIC Program, Department of Public Health
Medicaid Agency
Department of Rehabilitation Services
+++++++++++++++++++++

My, my - all those groups listed are paragons of Conservative virtues! I’m sure they do their utmost to ensure that each of those applying is totally legal!

From Rasmussen; At the moment, our working hypothesis centers around the measure of enthusiasm and certainty to vote questions. Republicans and Republican-leaning unaffiliated voters were clearly fired up, ready to vote and following the election closely. But a larger-than-anticipated number of less fired up and less committed voters came to the polls for Reid.

That doesn't seem too probable. It also fails to explain the huge disparity in votes for Reid versus the rest of the Democrats on the ballot or even his own son. Something unusual (perhaps not to Nevada) happened here. Will the new Republican House investigate this and the alleged voter fraud which occurred in numerous locations?

The Rasmussen methodology is fatally flawed because dead voters have no telephones and therefore are not included in the sample. And if they place calls only in Nevada, they miss out on the "day-trippers" bused in by the unions.

Rasmussen also needs to ask the question: “How many times do you intend to vote?”

re: To register to vote in the State of Nevada, an individual must meet the following qualifications:

Be a United States Citizen
Reside in Nevada
Be at least 18 years old
Have not been convicted of a disqualifying felony (or have rights restored)
Have not been legally declared “mentally incompetent” by a court

Yes, these are the legal requirements, but absolutely nothing is verified. To register, all one does is check the box indicating that they are legally qualified to vote. It is a total honor system. And if someone is not honorable, it is a recipe for voter fraud. At the poll, the only thing that is verified (or is supposed to be verified) is that the signature on the rolls is the same as the signature of the voter. ID is not requested unless the signature looks different. Once the person is registered they are considered a legal voter.

Aside from the above, it seems to me that it would be incredibly easy for fraud to take place in Nevada. An applicant could fill out multiple registration forms with different names. They would just need to sign the registration form and the roll at the poll in their own handwriting, and they could easily vote multiple times at the numerous early voting sites all over town prior to the election, using the bogus names.

BTW, those in control of the voting in Nevada have refused attempts such a E-verify to verify citizenship.

There are myriad non-profit orgs in DC who run around the country telling high-dollar contributors that they are “organizing at the grassroots” who simply take the money to pay for staff, cushy offices, and dummying up phony results of their work.

I can tell you that ATR is not among them. Nor is AFP. I think Freedom Works does an admirable job, especially Gary Glenn. The old Free Congress Foundation was the best of the lot, until Paul Weyrich fell ill.

The primary example of an organization that once had the potential is ALG. The pres of the org was a true political genius, but for whatever reason, he surrendered power to the out-of-control pol dir, and that guy is notorious throughout the country for being a bellowing disaster.

The long and short of it is that we need a new grass roots organizing entity that is less interested in internecine warfare and more interested in organizing precincts, training candidates and staff, and running a fully transparent operation.
