What’s Up With Nevada? [Rasmussen: some clues as to how Harry Reid bucked the election Wave.]
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 11/7/2010 | Rasumussen Staff

Posted on 11/08/2010 12:24:43 PM PST by SeattleBruce

While public polling generally gave a good projection of what to expect around the country in Election 2010, that was not the case in Nevada.

Rasmussen Reports' final poll on the race showed Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid trailing by four points and the Real Clear Politics average showed the Democratic incumbent down by 2.7 points. When the dust settled, however, Reid won by 5.6 percentage points.

After every election, polling firms review the things that went well and those that didn’t to learn and make modifications. In this process, Nevada seems like an ideal place to start. That’s especially true because it’s the second straight election in which the Democrat has substantially outperformed both Rasmussen Reports polling and the average of all public polls in Nevada.

--snip--

This higher interest among less committed voters seems borne out by the exit poll data showing that six percent (6%) of voters did not vote in the presidential election two years ago. These voters strongly preferred Reid over Angle.

Wow, 6% of people that didn't vote in the 2008 blow out for barry, voted for Reid this time...hmmmmmmmmm?! Wonder if their jobs were 'on the line' when they bussed 'em in from Harrah's and the like??! Wonder how much of that 'on the line' business was communicated in Spanish?

Can someone remind me how easy it is to register to vote in NV - are there any 30 day limits or any of that - or do you just show up, with some state ID and pull the lever?

I am not buying this one bit

As I watched the paper ballot in the NY polls, I thought how easy it would be to just mark a bunch of them and slide them in at the end of the day

this new paperless ballot sucks big time

I think that Harry Reid won in part due to dirty tricks, like helping illegal aliens vote.

This is NV voter GOTV...union thug, casino boss, state gov’t boss, or acorn type lets you know that you will not have a job after election day if you do not vote for Reid and if your entire family does not vote for Reid..

Harrah’s was sending emails to their employees to vote for Reid...bet ya it had a veiled threat of losing their jobs...there are hundreds in line to take them...

“The only thing that matters in Nevada is who counted the votes.”

SEIU workers maintain the voting machines in NV. How amazing is that? The union that blatantly and completely supports SReid/bammy maintains the voting machines...huh!

Apparently it’s not amazing at all for the propaganda press.

Well, this may be one scenario on what happened, but, I can think of several explanations that are much more plausible.

Boycott Harrah’s. No conservative should ever set foot in Harrah’s.

I couldn't agree more.
In Victor, NY, the scanners went down so authorities took the voters' filled out ballots, placed them in a box and told the voters they'd all be scanned once the machines came back on line.
Nope, no chance of fraud there.
