WASHINGTON A leading House Republican says Sarah Palin cost the GOP control of the Senate.
Questioned about those comments on Tuesday, a spokesman for Rep. Spencer Bachus of Alabama said the remarks had been taken out of context but didn't retract them.
Bachus, in line to become chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, initially blamed Palin last week at a local Chamber of Commerce luncheon. According to the Shelby County Reporter, he said the Senate would be in Republican hands if not for losses by tea party candidates endorsed by the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee.

what chairmanship did bauchus lose?
This is just RINOs for business as usual.
I understand your wishes but you will have to realize that for now, the establishment “Ruling Class” of the Republican party is just that and will not accept anyone other than from their clique, that should be painfully obvious and they have shown they are not interested in anything else.
Until they are marginalized by We The People, nothing will change with them and they will only go down kicking and screaming.
Here’s the POS

This is pure hateful drivel. I, for one, am glad for every RINO we got rid of. Now to concentrate on the next bunch.
How about this meme--Palin and the TP HELPED us gain at least 6 seats--Alaska still in play.
vaudine
A ‘leading’ House Republican, most of us have never heard of before.
Yea!! They were doing so good before she came along....there would be no landslide election with out Sarah and the tea party!!!
Guess I missed Rep Bachus out there campaigning for those Republican Senate candidates he wanted to win.
I saw a lot of Sarah Palin, though.
I also missed seeing Michael Steele out there stumping for O’Donnell.
I saw a lot of Sarah Palin, though.
I don’t think I saw Lemar Alexander at any campaign event last year.
But I saw a lot of Sarah Palin.
I missed seeing Trent Lott working the ground around Las Vegas for Angle.
But I saw a lot of Sarah Palin.
Saying Sarah Palin cost the Republicans the Senate is like Obama saying that he saved the US from going over the economic cliff. The only substance to the comment is based in a huge assumption that defies logic.
to the left of me,
s
to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you.
I refer to them as the “Rinocratic Oligarchy” they’ve run DC since the ‘30’s. Its the longest running “good Cop-Bad Cop” in history.
The Tea Party is in the process of learning to call their bluff.
Good Cop-Bad Cop CON” in history.
Trying to make some sense of it all,
But I can see that it makes no sense at all,
Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor,
'Cause I don't think that I can take anymore
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.

You know. Bachus. He invented wine. (or whine)
: )
No,the Senate would not be in Republican hands now if it was not for Tea Party backed candidates. The Senate would still be controlled by Democrats. They may or may not have a “R” after their names, but they would still be Democrats.
Also, due to this “Republican’s” inability to tell the truth, another Democrat posing as a Republican is outed.
If the Tea Party accomplishes nothing more, they have made their mark for their ability to out RINOs.
** as the TPcaucus just keeps on getting stronger and stronger..
Great stuff! I especially like the first cartoon. It makes a very important point—that bipartisanship allows the DemonRats to place the blame on the Republicans. Where was the bipartisanship the last 2 years? Rhetorical question.
This guy should never be given a position of authority.
He is D U M B.
He wouldn’t even have the chance to be chairman of anything if it weren’t for the tea party.
If he doesn’t know this, he should be put somewhere safe untill he realizes it.
This is a big test for Boehner.
I understand your wishes but you will have to realize that for now, the establishment Ruling Class of the Republican party is just that and will not accept anyone other than from their clique, that should be painfully obvious and they have shown they are not interested in anything else.

If we keep engaged in the primary process, and chip and blast away, then the balance of power (and perception) will shift.
That’s quite a leap from
“party candidates endorsed by the former Alaska governor” to “Plain Costs Party Control of Senate”.
Let’s Roll!
