40,000 Expected at George W. Bush Rally in Florida Today
Saturday, November 13, 2010 | Kristinn

Former President George W. Bush is expected to draw around 40,000 people to a rally in Florida this morning at the Republican stronghold retirement community, The Villages, according to local news reports.

Bush is promoting his new book, Decision Points. After the rally, he will greet several hundred people who obtained wristbands earlier in the week from a bookstore in The Villages. There are conflicting reports about whether pre-signed books will given to those meeting Bush or if he will sign books in person.

The rally is set for 10 a.m. at Lake Sumter Landing.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin drew a crowd estimated between 60,000 and 70,000 in September 2008 during a campaign stop when she was running for vice president on the Republican presidential ticket.

There is no word about whether Jeb Bush, the popular former two-term governor of Florida, will join his brother at the rally this morning.

Bush will be making another appearance in Florida tomorrow at the Miami Book Fair. Demand for tickets to that event was so heavy the ticket computer system crashed, according to the Miami Herald.

This is great news. It infuriates me that the Stars and Stripes (the military paper no less) has that President Bush sold 202,000 books in one day but just had to take a dig and wrote but President Clinton doubled that and sold over 400,000....why can’t they just mention how much President Bush sold and leave it at that?

I bought a copy this with {on line} and it was rated #1 on Amazon, and it's just been released this week.

The book sales on this one will go through the roof and the lame stream media will either ignore it or pick little quotes out and twist the hell out of it.

Clinton’s book got rotten reviews. It was deemed “self indulgent” by one reviewer....Ya think??

I just started his book this morning and was thinking about Bush. He was the first Republican I ever voted for (I know! How lame, huh? Took so long). In the intro, he mentions what an honor it was to serve the people of this great country, to be involved in world events for a bit of his life. (Would Obama EVER say that?)

When we watched that first debate with Al Gore, I saw in Bush the integrity of a man who knew what he believed. I voted for that in him, knowing that we would not agree in every area, but that he would lead with integrity.

I miss integrity in that office so much.

40,000 people - correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that more than obammalooney has been drawing lately?

Oh wait...it's "Bush's fault"...I forgot.

Because when it suits the liberal media, they like to put things in context. Obviously, it doesn’t suit their purposes very often.

Everyone thought Clinton’s book would provide a blow by blow account of his two terms, while GWB’s book focuses on the major decisions he made while in office.

That one reviewer is probably most of who ever read it. The vast majority of the Clinton books remain on shrink-wrapped pallets moldering in union warehouses, never to be seen or touched by human hands.

jUst a thought...but I find it very interesting that while BO is away we have Pres. Bush “covering” the news media and taking the front stage across our nation as if reminding the world we do know what a Pres. of character and integrity is all about...and he is “covering” for Bo’s absence. He is doing more for this country than simply promoting his book.....just interesting the timing of all this plays well for us all I think.
