Washington - Afghan President Hamid Karzai, in an interview published Sunday, called on the United States to scale down its military activity in his country. 'The time has come to reduce military operations,' Karzai said in an interview with the Washington Post newspaper. The president said the Afghan population was unable to cope with the massive international military presence and wanted to see an end to the 'intrusiveness' of the soldiers in daily life.

I do not want the US to waste another dime “reconstructing” either Afghanistan or Iraq. The tribal savages in Afghanistan will only end up stripping the copper off the pipes after we leave. Let them go back to warring among themselves. The lesson they will have learned by our presence there is that if they ever harbor and concoct another terrorist scheme against the US on their land they better do it while there is a Democrat administration in Washington.

Living in Afghanistan is a lot like living in the USA! Can’t believe a word that comes out of the administration’s mouth.

Of course he's made a deal. The night raids must be particularly effective and have them reeling.

Step up the night raids, get rid of this guy and win this puppy once and for all.

I agree we need to end it. I agree we need to let them fight amoungst themselves as they have for thousands of years. I feel compassion for the innocents there. We all should. I never said we should police it or that we should stay but I am a Christian. I have never in my life suggested social workers to help anything. I think about the innocent people of North Korea, Iran, Afganistan, etc. that suffer everyday and how I hope they find freedom but I never said it should be the US military to provide it. The only freedom the US military should leave behind is the fallout caused by the destruction of a direct threat to the US. Maybe you missed my first comment about a good exit strategy. I feel like I’m arguing with a liberal, put words in my mouth, spin what I did say, no concern for lesser humans and you RAISE YOUR VOICE as if it makes you bigger or smarter than I. Also I never questioned your love of the US military.

We do. Drop a MOAB or two on every village in that hell hole. Build four enormous bases on each side of the country. Level a corridor in Pakistan as our way to the sea. Take all natural resources as payment and start killing everything in Pakistan, Kasmir, and Iran......

It may come to that. Of the many secrets openly revealed in Woodward’s book (he must have sat in on hoards of secret meetings) we are supposedly going to strike with drones or Tomahawks 150 sites in Pakistan which harbor or train terrorists if and when we suffer another attack on the homeland. Swell. So we don’t count the Christmas bomber coming into Detroit, the Ft Hood Major shoot-up, the toner cartridges coming into USA from Yemen, or several other obvious terrorist attacks. I guess he’s waiting for a dirty nuke attack on a major US city...

If the Political Class is that dumb to wait, they will suffer the worst of it. One more attack will result in the We the People removing the Political Class....
