Mario Francisco Hernandez, 22, showed up at a Burger Stop restaurant in Pico Rivera, Calif., on Wednesday with flowers and "Will you marry me?" written on his car. His girlfriend, who police have not identified, apparently said no.

How sad. It may have worked out if she had accepted. After all, he seems like a normal, clear headed guy.

Any proposal made in a public setting should be turned down. All the guy is doing is to pressure her to say yes, rather than consider it or turn him down. Cowards.

The car was a 87 Supra.. Witnesses reported that the car blew out two tires after jumping the curb and barely missed a pedestrian. Holly cow what a scene! I see children are involved... s. The couple has two children, a 5-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter, and with low income, the family has been living with Hernandez's parents.

But you under my wheels

He probably figured she wouldn't need to sleep on it:
