Big Monday for Murkowski, Miller
Politico ^ | 11/15/2010 | SHIRA TOEPLITZ

Posted on 11/14/2010 11:22:24 PM PST by SeattleBruce

With the vast majority of write-in ballots counted, both Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Republican Joe Miller looked to Monday – when election officials will begin counting thousands of absentee ballots — as a key day in their U.S. Senate race.

After about 5,000 write-in ballots were counted Sunday, Murkowski kept up her success rate of winning about 89 percent of the write-in votes outright, plus an additional 8 percent of write-in votes that were challenged but still counted for the senator anyway.

However, officials still have to count about 40,000 absentee ballots this week, according to the Alaska Division of Elections Director Gail Fenumiai. That figure includes several thousand absentee ballots with write-in votes that have not been counted yet.

Interesting report. Thanks. I am so hoping that Murky gets defeated, particularly after her remarks yesterday about Sarah Palin.

She is a total witch.

“It appears as though in uncontested votes, Murkowski is behind by about 5,000. There are about 10,000 write-ins left to be counted. If 90% go uncontested to her, she’ll end up ahead just in uncontested votes by about 3,000-4,000.”

This is exactly how everyone in the state planned this. Push out votes that would show murky going up at the end, to avoid a court battle. Murky, sen. write-in, is now at the beck and call of RATs, RINOs and Unions.

Any questions?

We appreciate your valiant fight Joe Miller.

Your fellow Tea Partiers.

Before I give up the fight here - I will say that if current numbers hold that these Miller will only be down by: 91,131 less 90,448 = 683 votes, with 600 military votes to count.

If he wished to fight on, he would need to win in court against the contested votes, and trigger an automatic state funded recount. But if they accepted a fairly large portion of Miller Camp’s challenged votes, this is I’m afraid over.

This race is VERY close in uncontested votes, murky pulled out all kinds of lies and cheats in the matter, got her name listed, etc., and it was a valiant fight against the ‘stablishment in AK (not unlike Palin’s original fight.)

“The only ones are the 600 overseas, all others have been counted. tk”

Least ways, that’s what we read from the murky loving press propagandists. Then there’s that Politico article that was just DEAD wrong...who cares about accuracy, huh pressers?

If Lisa wins this it will ignite a political Cold War, nobody will do anything openly but everyone who is a follower of Lisa Murkowski will see the effects.
There is enough Alaskans willing to not let this drop, especially since Lisa is now openly challenging Sarah Palin.

I’ll be most interested to see if there are more than that that actually come in. That’ll be about the only way that Joe Miller can dead heat murky in the uncontested votes.

The state knows how many ballots went out and generally not all are returned. Usually the return is significant but I have know idea what it will be this time. The best information is on the state web page. tk

Have to hand it to ya, you were right, I was wrong. I still believe things will continue to change, maybe take a few elections; hope our Country survives fiscally in the process.

I don't begrudge the Indians over govt spending in the villages. They've lost everything they started with, the problem is from what I see, the social condition in most villages is not improving.

I know quite a few Indians upriver in Canada and they are 1st & 2nd cousins to Indians in our village; night & day difference. Their govt is the difference. Until the USA gives back BLM & park lands to our villages and then couples development to provide real jobs nothing will change for the better. The cycle of alcohol, suicide, child abuse, FAS, has to stop for the future.

I'm also worried about our own Nation's financial situation. I honestly believe a collapse of our financial system is in the cards. Out here, I can always snare rabbit, get a few caribou and a moose, eat salmon and grow a huge garden;;; been doing that for years; ask any of the local Indians here in Eagle. I don't want to see hard times for my kids who are at UAA & UAF down the road. Hope we still have our Country & freedom in another dozen years.

Anyway, good talking,,,, and like I said if you ever get up Eagle; ask where the teacher lives between the old & new villages. You'll see the Miller & Salmon Signs at end of my lane, ha.

“Still, he has so far shown no signs of backing off. He has argued in court that thousands of ballots should be thrown out because of misspellings of Murkowski’s name. He has asked for access to election registers to compare the number of voters to the number of ballots cast in certain precincts. His campaign has also alleged widespread voter fraud, though it has provided little evidence to back up the claims.”

Hmmmmm!? They have asked to be able to see the registers so they can check that the correct number of registered voters are voting, yet it ‘has provided little evidence to back up the claims’ of voter fraud.

Uh clue you morons at the Washington Compost - why don’t you advocate for those voter registers and then make your silly little activist conclusions - once we’ve all seen the numbers...naw, we’ll just let that sit under the haze of the AK ‘Dept. of Murkowski Elections’, while we put out our Murky propaganda...

Why does Joe Miller have to sue the State of AK to do what’s right and prove that there aren’t more votes per precinct than there are voters registered in those precincts?

On another notes Huckabee came out today in support of Joe Miller:
http://www.sunshinestatenews.com/blog/mike-huckabee-joe-miller-not-done-alaska-quite-yet
““Much media attention has been paid to the lame-duck session and the incoming freshman class of elected officials,” insisted Huckabee on Tuesday. “While political pundits express uncertainty over the future of our nation — in Alaska, Joe Miller’s future is also uncertain.

“Joe’s race for U.S. Senate is still not decided,” continued Huckabee, who ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 and may do so again in 2012. “Alaska’s Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate is still in the race of his life and needs our immediate help.”

The disputed ballots in this race are still being reviewed,“ continued Huckabee. “Adding his strong, outspoken conservative voice from Alaska to the U.S. Senate is just what we need to begin turning this country around.”

Lisa Murkowski is an Idiot

RUSH: Lisa Murkowski said that Sarah Palin does not have the intellectual curiosity to be president. Last night on the CBS Evening News with the perky Katie Couric, the question, “The message you’re hearing loud and clear from voters is compromise? Is that right?”

“MURKOWSKI: I will tell you, I am not one of those who wants Obama to fail. If he does well that means the country is doing well. We don’t have time as a nation to spend all of what we do blocking. We have got to figure out how we get to a point where we can be sitting around a table and talking about these difficult problems and advancing some solutions.

RUSH: There you have it. Lisa Murkowski ran as a write-in candidate in Alaska with an absolute insane comment. Insane is not even the word. I would trade Lisa Murkowski to the Democrats for Heath Shuler in a moment, and we’d be gaining a couple IQ points. It’s hard to believe, but we would be gaining a couple IQ points in that trade. I’d give the Democrats Lisa Murkowski today for Heath Shuler, and I don’t even want a draft choice in the next draft, straight-up deal. What a ludicrous thing to say. “I will tell you, I am not one of those who wants Obama to fail. If he does well that means the country is doing well.” Lisa, he is doing well. He is succeeding at what he wanted to do. He got his Obamacare. This is silly to keep reliving. We are surrounded by — I don’t know what this is, a lack of knowledge? Is this ignorance? Is it pipe dream Miss America type hopeful — what is this? It certainly isn’t intellectual curiosity. This isn’t even intellectual. Lisa Murkowski, “We can’t spend our time as a nation blocking”? We damn well better or there won’t be a nation. What the hell was this election, Ms. Murkowski, if it wasn’t blocking? Holy smokes.”

First blasts on Sarah Palin’s lack of intellectual curiosity (that’s a laugh, especially when you consider the source!!) And now sen. write-ins latest target: Jim DeMint.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1110/45234.html

“After ripping Sarah Palin, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski isn’t mincing words about another one of her high-profile GOP critics: South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint.

“I think some of the Republicans in the Congress feel pretty strongly that he and his actions potentially cost us the majority by encouraging candidates that ended up not being electable,” Murkowski told POLITICO outside her Senate office. “And I think Delaware is a pretty good example of that, and I think there’re some folks that feel that DeMint’s actions didn’t necessarily help the Republican majority.”
+++++++++++++++++++++

Oh Lisa, you’re such an ally to the Republican Party. You’re such a big tent girl - bless your heart, that the moment you think you’ve won in AK, you come out and try to destroy every Conservative Republican in sight.

Gee thanks sen. lyin’ write-in. We surely appreciate your efforts (What? You don’t believe that? Well, I don’t believe you either...so I guess we’re even.)

Lisa, get a clue - if

“Lisa, get a clue - if” = Lisa, get a clue - if you are able - the Tea Parties are the REASON the GOP is anywhere close to power right now.

“Her campaign anticipated overtaking Miller with undisputed votes Tuesday when 9,000 absentee and questioned ballots were to be counted.”

102,028 (total write-ins) - 94,674 (write-ins counted so far) = 7,354

Are there are 1650 additional absentee ballots also to be counted today? If so, good news for Joe - but who knows what to believe among the various reports.

No wonder Joe’s campaign is holding off, with various numbers coming from all over the place.

Gail Fenumiai - WHAT SAY YE?
