With all the negative press, I guess the TSA feels compelled to try to keep the sheep in line. I don't think it'll work with this man. It's a good thing he was taking video complete with sound.

that’s our biggest ace in the hole when dealing with big government liberals....when the tide is rushing in and about to overtake them, you can always count on them to dig in their heels and double-down.;

This is going to backfire very badly on TSA...

Especially with the new rules on hijab-wearing muslim women (head and neck area only pat-down and no scanners).

AS per Drudge:
http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/2010-11-16-airportpatdowns16_ST_N.htm

This comment from Janet Manpolitano:

She added that “if people want to travel by some other means,” they have that right.

Thank You ma’am! May I have another!

It definitely looks like the TSA has everything backwards. Whereas their job is to protect farmboys from the Dakotas from Hajibwearing Hoochy Mamas wearing bomber belts, they are going to prosecute one of those farmboys and escort the Hoochy Mama to the biggest plane she’d like to ride.

I am wondering about investigating all the screeners who do pat downs. No offense to them, but people who are patting down children should be thoroughly investigated. Actually, nobody should be patting down kids.

You know who needs a full strip-search body-cavity-stretching probe?

The TSA officer who thinks it’s a good idea to initiate this probe.

This is Soft Tyranny at it’s finest. It’s a kinder, gentler fascism.

Time to dethrone Janet Manpolitano and get rid of the TSA.

Maybe we could ask Israel how they conduct their security in airports. They seem to know what they're doing

The way to bring the TSA to its knees is boycott airports/flying until they have been disbanded.

I'm going to do my part.

In the article it says the fine is now $11,000 and that leaving the area before the process is complete is illegal.
SHOW ME THE LAW! Quote it chapter and verse! Also, show me where THE LAW says sexual assault is legal!

I agree, but they're doing it anyway. It must be that the people in charge of the TSA figure that they have to bet the farm on this, because if they don't, TSA will be permanently damaged. I don't see how, but I also don't see how they could be so foolish as to not let this drop once the guy leaves the airport.

It could, I suppose, also have something to do with the coming change in the political situation in Washington. Maybe they figure they have to make their move before the GOP takes over the purse strings. This is also hard for me to grasp, though, because a House committee can look into this any time it wants. Ask for a complete accounting of what this incident has cost to investigate, and then chop that amount out of next year's TSA budget, that sort of thing.

In his own small way, this guy has become such a heroic symbol of resistance to government idiocy that I officially adopted his infamous quote as my tagline yesterday.

In the end, security escorted Tyner out of the airport, after American Airlines refunded his ticket. According to Aguilar, Tyner is under investigation for leaving the security area without permission. That’s prohibited, among other reasons, to prevent potential terrorists from entering security, gaining information, and leaving.

How did he leave without permission if he was escorted out?

FUTSA!

Napolitano was born 90 years too late. She would have gone down a storm as a prison matron in a European fascist state.

I agree.

And I, for one, will object if women wearing a hijab only get patted down around the facial area.

That was his exact question in his blog update dated 14 Nov.

“Why did they demand I return to the area from which I had just been escorted?”
