To make meth without ephedrine you would need methylamine.
methylamine is tightly controlled in this country, thankfully.

Biker meth used the methylamine process for manufacture.
The conversion required a high temp furnace and hydrogen...etc

You really have to drink a lot and abuse it. Meth wipes out the liver as well. The fortunate thing is God gave you more than 8 times the amount of liver that you need and it has regenerative qualities if you give it a break and time to heal.
I would think that a meth head will burn up his liver faster than a alcoholic simply for the impurities in what he is ingesting....household cleaning supplies? At least alcohol is something the body can recognize and manage. I’m not so sure about draino.

Ah, 25 years in the trenches of the public “mental health” trade has me longing for the days of relatively harmless heroin addicts. They were simply addicts.

Meth users, OTOH - at least those who do pull out of the nose dive before total destruction - are all too often left with permanent damage to key neural circuits regulating mood and reality testing and cognitive functions. I often feel lucky to get some of them back even half way, and if they do make it back it isn’t usually to their former life of employment and family. Tragic, and both a cause and a symptom of the devastation liberal influences have brought upon our society.

The Sudafed laws seem to have made no impact. Meth floods north en mass these days, a product of the utmost graciousness and generosity of our virtuous neighbors to the south.

Of course, a civilized society such as ours will never take the steps needed to stop this. A bit of guts and gumption are all it would take, but they are in short supply and out of vogue.

I despise people who tell giant Bravo Sierra stories in order to make fun of sincere, concerned people like yourself, who are just try to educate themselves about the ravages of this drug.

It is every where. You don't have to listen to any They anymore to learn about the damage.

I guarantee almost everyone knows someone who is using it themselves or knows someone who has a close friend or family member using it. Ask around, tell people you want to know the truth and learn what can or should be done about this menace and as a Freeper you love your country but are suspicious of your government. I know you hate to be lied to.

Meth users are nothing more than American suicide bombers, killing themselves is the least of their wrath.

My brother was Sheriff (now retired) of a county in rural Florida that was drowning in meth, the children seized in meth busts were enough to permanently overwhelm of the local and neighboring circuit of the Florida Department of Children and Families.

While meth users might excel at exterminating themselves, by that time they could easily have half a dozen ferrel diseased children, committed hundreds of property crimes and destroyed the lives of everyone around him. One of his deputies nearly drank himself to death after he had to shoot a meth suspect who had attended most of his childhood birthday parties but had just stabbed two people in a pharmacy and lunged at another deputy who was trying to talk him down. My brother is haunted by what meth did to his community and how he was powerless against it.

The interesting irony is that the meth problem put illegal immigrants in very high demand, since employers were terrified of hiring white Americans since odds were pretty good they would be meth addicts.
