New York Times article details Palin's political machine.
Sarah Palin has clarified for the first time in a newly published interview that she is seriously considering a presidential run.
"I am," Palin told New York Times writer Robert Draper when asked if she was weighing a run in 2012. "I'm engaged in the internal deliberations candidly, and having that discussion with my family, because my family is the most important consideration here."
In a personal profile to be published in the upcoming New York Times Magazine, Palin said her decision would involve "evaluating whether she could bring unique qualities to the table," admitting the biggest challenge would be proving her record.

I will vote for her over Romney, Gingrich, Huckabee, or Pawlenty. If she picks any of those as a running mate, she will have already lost.

The Denali pipeline bill that Palin signed will cost the Alaska tax payers $150 million and there is no guarantee that the consortium she backed will win the bid. And, nothing has happened yet in terms of construction.
The governor of Alaska is not CIC of those NG units that are on active duty...you know that.

The MSM will do everything they can to stop her, and they have a disturbing amount of power. After all, they conned stupid Americans into banding together to elect Obama.
We just need to remember that the best candidates will always be attacked the hardest. Right now, Sarah is being attacked harder than anyone else, and this has gone on for more than two years.
Palin is the frontrunner for the primaries, and the conservative choice, that solves all your problems, you can tell the lessor candidates to drop out and not split the conservative vote.

Yeah, but can she win? I agree with Palin almost right down the line on every issue. But I want to WIN in 2012. The last poll I saw showed her last among Pubs running against Obozo.
The Democratic strategy in the 1980 primaries was to cross over and vote for Reagn in the GOP primaries, because they had determined (via lots of polling) that not only would Reagan be the easiest to beat, but that Reagan was unelectable.
And we know how that turned out.
Carter actually led in polls through most of the race. It was only as they got to election day that people decided “we can’t make it through four more years of Jimmy Carter” and then decided to pull the lever for Reagan. The 1980 election was less a pro-Reagan election as a rejection of Carter.
I think as we approach election day 2012, no matter who the GOP nominee is, people will come to the same conclusion about Obama—we can’t make it through another 4 years with him as president.
I love Sarah. I would love for her to be POTUS. She’d have more cajones than most presidents we’ve had. Definitely more than the current POTUS. I just don’t think it’s possible. One of the main line of attacks against Obama is his inexperience. Let’s face it, the public perception of Sarah is that she does not have the experience. I don’t think that’s going to change in 2012.
I’m tellin’ ya. Our candidate has to be Haley Barbour. He’ll be able to raise the money (perhaps more than Obama), is very conservative and so will unite the tea party behind him and will have the Washington connections to unite everyone in the party behind him. He’s a serious candidate who has handled crisis (Katrina and Gulf Oil Spill) far better than the current clown. People will not care that he is older, overweight etc.. They have had their fill with young and dashing. That hasn’t worked.
I am voting for her in 2012 even if she does not win the primary. I think she is the right choice. She is the Deborah to his Barak, and the Esther to his Haman.

This is the first time in conservative history where we have the frontrunner, the leader, the top candidate predicted to win the primary, and guys like you want that conservative to drop out instead, and leave the field, there is clearly something wrong with that picture.
I think there is a good chance she could pick Romney as a VP candidate, for the same reason Reagan choose Bush.
In 1980, the GOP elite/insiders were so upset about Reagan getting the nomination that the were close to pulling another 1964 Goldwater type walkout and leaving Reagan hanging. Reagan put Bush on the ticket to keep them in tow.
With Romney as the VP candidate, there would be no question that Palin would get 110% support from the GOP establishment. Otherwise, we would see the GOP old-guard do to Palin what they did to Goldwater in ‘64 and several tea party backed candidates in 2008—attempt to undercut their own nominee.
well... McCain got it, and Mitt is a giant compared to that old RINO geser.
