Homeless Woman Charged in LA Train Track Death(pushes elderly woman on tracks)

LOS ANGELES (Nov. 16) -- Betty Sugiyama was rushing to catch a train for a shopping trip when authorities say the unthinkable happened: A homeless woman leapt from a bench and shoved her onto the tracks.

Witnesses said the woman then calmly returned to her seat as Sugiyama writhed in pain on the tracks with a cracked skull. The 84-year-old Little Tokyo resident died soon after, and the suspect was arrested on murder charges.

A sister of Sugiyama who witnessed the attack remained stunned Tuesday that anyone would want to kill her friendly younger sibling, a Japanese-American who had grown up in the shadow of World War II and was sent to an internment camp as a child.

Little Tokyo is located a few blocks north of Skid Row, where thousands of homeless residents live or visit. Watanabe said Little Tokyo is a generally safe neighborhood, though it occasionally sees purse snatchings and other crimes.

Uh huh...

A friend of mine lives near that hell hole and was even homeless there.

Sheriff's deputies arrived moments after the attack and arrested Jackkqueline Pogue. Prosecutors on Tuesday charged her with murder.

He also told me of Jackkque (Is that how her name is spelled!? WTF?) This woman is nuts. She has been kicked out of every SRO and shelter in LA. (How that is possible I dunno!) She goes around the trains and the stations panhandling and begging, sometimes assaulting people if they don't give her any money. She assaulted an 80 year old man in Pershing square a couple years ago, LAPD did little partly because she was insane, He also saw her assault a hispanic woman on the red line going from Vine to downtown because she wouldnt give her any money.

What really makes me angry is that I am doing an article for my blog about how a High School graduate was involuntarily commited because according to doctors and liberal government, she was peculiar. She had her whole future taken from her just like that! Just because some libtard thought it was for her own good. Meanwhile we got insane bums running around skid row robbing, begging and being a nuisance and then THIS happens! WE HAVE LAWS ON THE BOOKS PEOPLE! THE NEW LPS ACT MADE IN 2008 WAS SUPPPOSED TO HAVE PUT THIS WOMAN IN AN INSTITUTION AND GET HER MEDICATED AND THEN ON OUTPATIENT REFERAL!

Instead they go after a high school student, lock her up, chuck her out into the streets and destroy everything she worked hard to accomplish.

No wonder America isn't in Bible prophecy. I am just so angry.

Mentally disordered, psychotic homeless people must be allowed to walk unhindered wherever they wish to go in our society. They must be allowed full, unquestioned access to libraries, train stations, shopping malls and store entrances. They serve to remind us all of the heartless, cruel, inhuman nature of the dog-eat-dog, individualistic hell that is Amerika.

I saw plenty of those creatures When I was in Europe. Yet the European Peons all say that they do no wrong with their socialism.

I used to live in downtown Long Beach and would say that half the homeless wondering around there should have been committed to a mental institution. Had one woman that would camp across the street from my condo and keep us up half the night with her cackling and conversation between her and her dolls. But thanks to the ACLU these people can’t be committed for more than three days. Sucks, usually they’re harmless but as you can see not always.

For the love of me I don’t know how the Japanese put up with living near that S**t. I can only imagine how they put up with beggars purse snatchers and crackheads wandering around there.

I thought LB banned homelessness? I remember hearing the LBPD didn't give a damn about their so called right to live outside and be a nuisance and that they constantly arrested them and sent them packing back to downtown LA.

I think you both pretty well nailed this down for me.

You know, I don’t like seeing people who have survived so much to be taken out this way. She was eighty-four. While she had lived a full life, it’s just sad to see her ended this way particularly in front of her sister.

She was out enjoying life, and some sub-human found it reasoned to murder her on a whim.

With this one all the warning bells had sounded too.

Psychotic homeless people cannot to allowed to roam around. They need to be put in asylums, for their own good and everyone Else's.

I know what you’re talking about. I Work close-by in DT L.A. on the weekends and it’s like night and day..

The border street is where the black homeless just litter around while Little Tokyo demarcation line looks like heaven compared to hell on the other side. The Japanese residents did their job on beautifying their own community while the homeless have no qualms destroying theirs.

There was even one time I consulted for a “well known” video games distributor and they are located..in a well fortified compound in Skid Row (due to cheap rent). You have no choice but to stay in your car to enter the compound and right outside, an angry-looking mob just stares at you..I pity those employees who have to commute there.

Not when I lived there. May have happened though because they are putting a lot of effort into revitalizing the downtown area. Certainly the marina area has really gone up since I lived there but it’s hard to do when gangland central for LB is right next to downtown and the gang bangers like to go somewhere nice every once in a while.

I used to live in Scottsdale, AZ. We had a homeless guy in the park by the house. His name was Chico or Pico. He used to sing Tex Mex songs all night. It played havoc with my golf game. Every time I missed the fairway due to lack of sleep - I would curse Pico.

No wonder America isn't in Bible prophecy.

I agree with you about the horrible situation regarding
Ms Sugiyama.

However, I want to point out that the U.S. is in
Bible prophecy--though not in a way we would wish.

In Ezekiel 38, when that northern Muslim/German coalition
comes down to attack Israel, there is a group designated
the Merchants of Tarshish. The U.S. is included in
that group. When Jonah fled to Tarshish to hide from God,
he boarded a ship. Ships from Tarshish went all over the
world, including, apparently, to the pre-1492 continent that
would eventually be designated America.

In v. 13, The Merchants of Tarshish go timidly and ask
of the coalition, ["]'Have you come to capture spoil?
Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to
carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and
goods, to capture great spoil?'"

The Merchants of Tarshish apparently take no action. That is, They--
we--take no further action.

We are sliding toward that cowardly state even now.

“Sheriff’s deputies arrived moments after the attack and arrested Jackkqueline Pogue. Prosecutors on Tuesday charged her with murder.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. David Coleman said investigators were trying to establish a motive. He said it was unclear if Pogue, 44, is mentally ill or if she had been using drugs, but she seemed coherent when detectives spoke with her.”

I wonder if this “homeless person” is black. It’s awful to say that but blacks KNOW they can get a free pass on punishment. Obama has pushed race relations back 100 years.

So what is Jackkqueline Pogue?

Yes, it is clear America will be irrelevant. We can see why. Just look at the headlines and how Obama is making us impotent as a world power, morally depraved and financially destroying U.S.. Yes, this makes me very angry too. It is horrendous.

Be careful what you wish for. the soviets and the nazis loved to use mental institutions to lock up opponents. I hear the EU has even begun doing it to libertarians there. Apparently we still do it to wealthy grannies and California as I said did it to a HS grad to keep her from working.

Yup, she is black. I was talking on the phone to my friend in LA. The fact that they did not show her mugshot made that apparent.

So what is Jackkqueline Pogue?

As I mentioned before a crazy psycho who has been banned from every shelter and SRO in LA. It sounds impossible but from what he told me there are people just like this. There was even a Japanese woman who behaved like a 2 year old with a tantrum and would stomp her feet and shout "LEAVE ME ALONE! YOU AMERICANS LAZY! LEAVE ME ALONE!" She also got kicked out everywhere except the Midnight mission.

Anyway, she camps out on the subway, she panhandles and gets made whenever someone refuses to give her change and assaults them. LAPD wont do anything about it. Even THEY can't get rid of her so it comes down to this, waiting for her to push an elderly woman in front of the train.

Anything can be abused, but there are people blubbering on the street who cannot take care of themselves and are a threat to others. Far, far more of them than people locked away by malicous relatives.

I concur, the courts should appoint an independent trustee, especially in cases where substantial funds are involved. My MiL was completely out of it and living in a nursing home for years when her husband moved to be appointed her guardian. (She really didn’t have any money.) She apparently wanted to leave the nursing home and come home, but she was physically and mentally incapable of taking care of herself and far too much of a handful for an elderly man.
