House Republicans Clobber TSA, Insider Deals On Nudie Scanners
The Hayride ^ | 17 Nov 10 | MacAoidh

We mentioned Rapiscan, one of the two companies manufacturing the full-body scanners the TSA has been using to stir up the ire of airline passengers of late, yesterday. It turns out that not only is Rapiscan CEO Deepak Chopra (not THAT Deepak Chopra) a maxed-out Obama donor and a member of the president’s retinue for last week’s India trip, but the company uses a lobbying firm run by former Department of Homeland Security head Michael Chertoff.

This isn’t likely to defuse the outrage over TSA as the holiday travel crush gets going.

Since the GM nationalization caused so much fuss, this is the next best thing to nationalizing an industry to the socialists - bankrupt it out of existence!

“Meantime, Sen. Claire McCaskill – who is used to defending the indefensible – touted the new nudie-picture machines as a great victory for privacy.”

The stupid witch is exempt from this harassment.

Remember - everything seen through the prism of liberalism is 180 degrees opposite of what is said or intended. Do away with poverty = institutionalize poverty. A ‘liveable wage’ = unemployment. “Affordable housing” = the ‘combat zone’ in Boston. And here a ‘great victory for privacy’ = a maximum of no privacy whatsoever. etc. etc. etc.

She called them “love pats”. Is there any better argument for an intelligence test before you go to Congress?

Does the radiation from these things cause cancer? Ifitive to the radiation you are around them all day, will you get cancer? If you go through them ‘X’ times per month, will you get cancer? If you are within ‘Y’ feet for 20 minutes, what is your radiation exposure? If you are on certain meds or treatments for various diseases, are you more sensitive to the radiation?

I wondered about pregnant women.

Any radiation seems dangerous to me.

So, when are these things going away???

Given the “dry runs” that the terrorists are known to have attempted, the scanners and the groping won’t pick up any of their new techniques.

The TSA is still trapped in 9/10/01!!!!

Chertoff again?

It was discovered Bush's Homeland Security Chief, Mr. Chertoff, had people, who had entered this country illegally, wandering around the inside of his private residence... No joke.

During war time yet.

One can only imagine what could have occurred, including blackmail, terrorism espionage, intel compromise, wire taps of Bush's Security Chief etc. The threat potential and damage could have been endless.

This oblunder’s plan.

Cause the “too big too fail” airlines to need a bailout and fall under government control.

Sound familiar?

I don't know, but TSA employees don't appear sharp enough to wonder about these things. Explains why those types get hired.

It would be a good idea for travelers to plant the seeds of doubt. We could ask TSA drones, "Aren't you worried about these things? I mean, an occasional unprotected pass carries enough unknown risk, but sheesh you guys stand around close to these things for hours and days on end. Heck a dental tech gives me a lead shield and goes behind a protective wall. Do you trust the government to be truthful and keep you safe, especially with all this continuous exposure? You know... they are more likely to consider you expendable."

Let the TSA agents sleep well at night. :)
