Sarah Palin may not have the biggest fan in former first lady Barbara Bush.
"I sat next to her once. Thought she was beautiful," Barbara Bush said. "And she's very happy in Alaska, and I hope she'll stay there."
Bush, along with her husband, former President George H.W. Bush, spoke to CNN's Larry King in an interview set to air Monday.

I think you are thinking of Laura. But about Barbara Bush, the elders quote... I am disappointed. Previously, my favorite quote of hers - paraphrasing here - was that what goes on in every American’s “house” is far more important than what goes on in the Whitehouse, or the houses of Congress....
Now I think maybe, I misinterpreted her meaning : /

Still, I’ll betcha there’s a lot of angst in the 41 household that Jebbie is not “getting his rightful turn” at the Presidency.
My respect for him went up when he said “no”, and will stay there as long as he means it.
Agreed and thats what I like about her. She isn’t of that class and makes them nervous. Good.

I’d like to say I agreed with you, but I must confess I’m a bit uneasy about Palin. She was nominated by McCain and the RINO establishment. On the surface (and WHAT a surface!) she LOOKS a true conservative, she may just still be part of the cabal to make it look like she’s an alternative, when in fact she’s just another flavor of the status quo.
The jury is still out on Palin, IMHO.

Barbara Bush is known for speaking her mind. Agree with her or not, I would not have it any other way.
I like her. I don’t always agree with what she says. At least she didn’t say “rhymes with witch.” :-)
