The 2011 Tax Tsunami
Pajamas Media ^ | Nov. 18, 2019

Posted on 11/20/2010 1:07:43 PM PST by T.L.Sink

The midterm elections are over and the Obama agenda has been rejected. But conservatives now have a daunting task ahead of them, and very few tools with which to accomplish it. The LARGEST TAX INCREASES IN U.S. HISTORY WILL TAKE EFFECT ON JANUARY 1, 2010. The White House has the veto power and will use it. Obama's strongly held political religion believes that the new taxes and even more government spending is necessary to fix a $1.4 TRILLION deficit the White House itself created and to reduce a national debt which the White House itself worsened. [Future generations are already in hock and will lucky if they can even pay the INTEREST on this unprecedented national debt.]

When these tax increases go into effect the impact will be staggering and could virtually wipe out the middle class as we know it. It will be a giant step toward the Third World socialism that Obama so much admires and toward which he is leading us.

I believe the tax cuts will be extended.
People have rejected the narrative about "the rich" and Republicans aren't ceding any ground to Obama.

The White House has the veto power and will use it.

And all his crones in the house and senate will go down with him in 2012 because of it.

We will get out of this debacle that the messiah has created one way or another.

I am confident of this.

The sad part is we will hit bottom before we get out of it.

On a compassionate note, just think of what the Messiah's daughters are going to have to live with because of his destructive ways when they grow up.

They will probably have to change their names.

The funny thing in all this is the lies that liberals are now forced to admit. After years and years of endless claims that the tax cuts were only “for the rich” now they are screaming that the Bush tax cuts for everyone (but the rich) should be continued.

How do libs continue something that never existed (according to them)? LOL!

This phrase needs to be echoed by every talk radio program and Conservative magazine, newspaper, ezine, and blog. It needs to be permanently attached to the rats, especially zero. The libs were too effective with their "Tax cuts for the rich" BS in 2001 and 2003 against Bush. They're still being quoted today.

No they will simply refuse to pay it, if the Fed doesn't monitize the debt before then. The suckers are the ones who lent money to a government that clearly can never make good all it's promises to pay.

If this massive tax increase goes into effect, by the end of January the American people will be mad as hell. The new Congress better make its reinstatement a priority.

“I believe the tax cuts will be extended.

I hope you’re right! Those tax cuts were intended to stimulate the economy after the Internet bubble burst, plus 9/11. We allowed the Commies to gain control of the narrative after that. NOW is the time we should REALLY be cutting taxes and STOP spending money we don’t have!!!

It won't, however the coming inflation, the likes of what we haven't seen since Jimma' Carter will wake up the masses.

There is no doubt that the tax increase for all of us will take effect. Any Rat who says he wants to continue the Bush tax cuts is a lying POS.

I don’t, the dems have nothing to gain politically by extending them now AFTER the elections. So many are leaving it won’t help them now.

They have been blaming everything that has gone wrong the last two years on Bush and the minority of repubs in the house and senate. They will just ratchet this deflection to the repubs when the tax increases go through and the media will (because over 90% of them vote dem and are dems/socialists) give them cover. Just like normal.

Bush and the Republicans are Goldstein. Two minutes hate beginning in 3,2, 1...

I hope you’re right but Obama is great at playing the class-warfare game and, despite victory in the House, the Republicans still don’t have the two-thirds majority to override a veto. Obama is a rigid ideologue and doesn’t know the meaning or give a damn about the will of the people. I hope I’m wrong.

It IS pretty amazing isn't it. Zero keeps saying, "cutting taxes for the rich is too expensive... $700 Billion"... over, 10 years, of course... he usually doesn't bother to mention that...

And, of course... he never adds that, extending the tax cuts for everone cost $4 TRILLION (over the next 10 years).

So... if you're keeping score, that's:

$70 Billion a year for the RICH
$330 Billion a year for us po folk.

If THAT doesn't expose the LIE (that the cuts were just for the rich) I don't know what could...

of course.. there are NO 'cuts'... it's just letting us ALL keep a little more of OUR OWN MONEY!

I certainly hope you’re right about that. The problem, as I see it, is “hitting bottom.” We’re a resilient country but we can only take so much of an onslaught before things change permanently for the worse. In other words, socialism can progress incrementally in small steps. And, as we’ve seen from history, once people become used to Big Brother, they don’t want to go back to personal initiative, personal responsibility, and individual freedom. It’s easier to let the government and others make decisions for you!

Great point! The libs also conveniently ignore the fact that a vast number of the “under $250,000” are small businesses that are “sub-Chapter S” corporations that pay their business taxes on a personal income tax form. And these small businesses do about 75% of new job hirings!
