Great point! The libs also conveniently ignore the fact that a vast number of the “under $250,000” are small businesses that are “sub-Chapter S” corporations that pay their business taxes on a personal income tax form. And these small businesses do about 75% of new job hirings!
I honestly think Obama doesn't KNOW YET how he's going to play this. At first, he seemed to be in favor of some kind of compromise... agreeing to extend the cuts for a couple of years...
But then... the progressives started getting in his ear, and talking up his spine. At this point, if I had to bet, I think he will hold out... and veto any bill that includes cuts for the wealthy...
What will be interesting is.... Could Congress actually over-ride the veto?? In the Senate, I think.. yes. But, the Rats remaining in the House are hard-core progressives... I think, it dies there.
And, brother, if that's how it goes down.... we're going to SUFFER for the next two years...

Absolutely right! This is the tired old class warfare game that Obama and other socilialists love to play. The much maligned “rich” not only pay the VAST majority of our federal income taxes but create all the meaningful jobs. Socialists like Obama are only concerned with REDISTRIBUTING wealth, not CREATING it. Only free enterprise, not government, can create real jobs.
Maybe they won’t just “refuse” to pay but will be UNABLE to pay. I think the government will start printing money like mad and this will cause out-of-control inflation that will wipe us all out. Look what happened in the Weimar Republic of Germany in the 20’s when this happened. We all know how this ended when a guy named Adolf promised a cure to the economic woes!

This thread is a lie! We all know that the tax cuts are “Bush’s tax cuts for the rich, the rich white man!”
No black, hispanic, poor or middle class person will be harmed by the resulting tax increases coming January 1st. None! Obama said no middle class or poor person will see their taxes increase while he is President.
The only people complaining about having to pay more taxes are rich white people and they should just shut up!
