A federal judge on Thursday ordered the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to reconsider whether Wyoming's wolf management plan is adequate to meet recovery goals for the species.
U.S. District Judge Alan B. Johnson of Cheyenne said the federal agency was wrong to insist that Wyoming agree to change its management plan to give wolves more protection before it would end federal oversight of the species.
The federal government originally said it wanted to achieve a wolf population of 300 animals when it started its wolf reintroduction program in the Northern Rockies in the 1990s. Biologists say there are now at least 1,700 wolves in parts of six states.
Johnson's ruling may further complicate the issue if it conflicts with Molloy's ruling...

Wyoming Attorney General Bruce Salzburg said he doesn’t see any conflict between the two rulings. “The Wyoming decision and the Montana decision can coexist,”
A guy that was delivering some lumber to the place I used to recently work told me a F&G biologist was telling him that someone had shot a wolf up the valley. He had a bullet fragment. Seems very few people who lived up there owned a gun and the ones that admitted they did said they had never heard of a “thirty-ought-six” caliber. So the biologist said he spent six months investigating and had another six months of paperwork to do. His advice: “Please shoot’em in the guts so that bullet passes clean thru”.
Did you hear about the hunter who paid several thousands of dollars to exclusively hunt a big buck on some private ground in the Bone area this fall? Seems a couple of other guys came across that big buck. A wolf was chewing on his carcass. Those guys were nice enough to take that guy the horns.
They could introduce them to areas along our southern border, but nooo can’t have the human and dope smugglers interfered with.
I think they can be allowed in limited numbers, but the results of their habitation have at least as many negatives as benefits.
This is not just about introducing Canadian wolves ( at great taxpayer expense ) that then kill livestock, family pets, and people. Yes, wolves do stalk and kill people.
But also promoting the UN Agenda 21.
Did you see the article the other day where Russia is bringing all of it’s people in from the smaller villages across their nation into 20 centralized monster cites?
They are going to make our politicians blind with jealousy! Russia; First into space and now first into a nationwide Agenda 21.
I did not see that Russian article
Thanks
Stalin would be proud
It looks to me like Johnson is using a little common sense with his ruling. The FWS should have the guts to come forward and say Wyoming’s plan is fine and dandy as long as wolf numbers stay above 300 in the Northern Rockies. After wolves are shot at on sight for a very short period of time they’ll develope a great respect for man and inhabited areas.
Molloy must consider himself a wildlife biologist but in reality he’s nothing but another enviro nazi. He should leave the science up to the people who are paid by to do it and that does not include enviro nazi groups who want to stop all hunting and close down public lands.
Zero and Pelosi are jealous.
The 300 number was always a joke.
Just the nose of the camel under the tent...
The eco-terrorists are laughing
People that live in the mountains in Colorado have an unwritten rule when defending their home and families from wild life. Shoot shovel and shut up.
Very familiar with SSS.
Introduce wolves down there and you just add another group that can't be interfered with.
