DALLAS, Tex. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told a massive crowd of pro-life advocates at a Dallas fundraiser that the new-health care law passed by Congress in March would lead to an unprecedented expansion of abortion.
"The biggest advance of the abortion industry in America has been the passage of ObamaCare," Mrs. Palin said at Dallass Majestic Theatre to a crowd of 800 people.
"It is even worse than what we had thought. The ramifications of this legislation are horrendous."
Mrs. Palin was speaking at a fundraising event for Heroic Media, an organization that is seeking to bring down Dallass abortion rates by connecting women in crisis with hopeful pro-life messages and resources through the media.
The Dallas Observer reports Heroic Media intends to launch a $632,000 media campaign in the area for Spring 2011.
Heroic Media claims that in previous markets where they have launched their pro-life ad campaigns the abortion rate has dropped as much as 24 percent.
Mrs. Palin, a GOP political icon admired by many Tea Party conservatives, said President Obamas executive order was insufficient to stop the laws expansion of the abortion industry. She cited the abortion mandates discovered by the National Right to Life Committee in some state plans for high-risk insurance pools as an example.
Mrs. Palin also encouraged the new Congress to repeal or defund the national healt- care reform law, the Affordable Care Act, which she called the mother of all unfunded mandates.
The former governor also told the audience about her own personal pro-life convictions, and described herself as unapologetically pro-life. She also said the experiences of giving birth to a child diagnosed with Down syndrome, and having a 17-year-old unmarried pregnant daughter, actually reinforced those convictions.
Why not please God for once and impeach this miserable excuse for a human being?
Unfortunately, “making Satan happy” isn’t one of the listed impeachable offenses. I don’t even think you’d be able to get the *new* House to vote for impeachment with that as the listed offense.
What offense do you believe that Rep. Issa will actually use as provable grounds for impeachment? What actually has enough solid, provable evidence of law-breaking to convince a majority of the Committee members?
Another way of sneaking their socialist ways on the American public.
Good call Palin.
Don’t worry about it. Obozo and his minions will continue to rule from the White Hut and change your way of life for the next two years.
Happy?
The “Culture of Death” must be fought!
Paging all the Palin haters.
God bless Sarah, she honors the truth.
Damn.
Don’t worry the SCOTUS will not interfere, and is loath to do its’ job.
Not convicting the Black Panthers for election fraud. Holder is Obamas responsibility. Authorizing illegals to enter the US via the backdoor.
That’s two.
Right. Except for that pesky little "leave it up to the states" Ron Paul/John McCain thing.
Well, I’m not Satan. So why would it make me happy?
I think you confuse asking for impeachable reasons to be the same as being happy with the status quo. There you would be very wrong.
Roe v Wade is a made up SCOTUS decision supporting Abortion on demand by finding the non existent “right to privacy” wording in the Constitution. I know, it's listed next to the “Right to Healthcare” section.
Viability of the Fetus was a pertinent issue when Roe v Wade was decided, yet it has been completely ignored. The opinion of the attending Physician, (Government sanctioned executioner), has taken precedent to protecting the life of the Fetus.
I for one, cannot believe there is opposition to outlawing Later Term Abortion, but it exists as a pillar of the modern Democrat Party.
No, it isn't. It's an unalienable rights of all people issue.
Which other unalienable rights to you want "the states to decide" besides the right to live? List them, please.
The problem is that even the Conservatives on the Supreme Court do not give a Fetus the same weight as a Person.
Justice Scalia has commented on this same issue many times.
Do not confuse my posting of a fact with my opinion. The fact is Roe v Wade was a made up out of thin air decision and the only way for Abortion to be limited to a specific time during Pregnancy (first trimester?) is through the States working within the confines that Roe v Wade allows.
Abortion will never be outlawed, but it can hopefully be a very limited procedure. That is how it is, like it or not.
Then America cannot and will not survive.
The protection of the unalienable rights of the people, all the people, is the foundation of our form of government and our liberty. Starting first with the right to life.
Sure won't if conservatives continue to support candidates for public office who aren't committed to stopping it.
See my last post for the inevitable results of that failure.
