Mad Men Star Thinks Having Kids is Irresponsibly Hurting Environment

If you would like to believe that some people in Hollywood are sane then don’t look to the cast of Mad Men. The popular cable show has at least one guy who basically thinks having children is irresponsible and hurts the environment. He hopes the rest of us will learn to live as responsibly as him.

Mad Men’s Vincent Kartheiser did an interview this week with MSNBC’s Tamron Hall to talk about how to go green. The progressive network thought the actor was qualified to interview, because he’s insanely green in his personal life. The guy has no car, thinks meat is evil, and in fact, has no toilet. Kartheiser told a UK magazine earlier this year:

“I don’t have a toilet at the moment. My house is just a wooden box. I mean I am planning to get a toilet at some point. But for now I have to go to the neighbours. I threw it all out.”

If not having a place to relieve yourselves isn’t enough, he told MSNBC that it’s truly green to not have children.

Hall: Did you move forward at that point and look for other ways, if you will, to go green and to live what we should all be doing – living more responsibly?

Kartheiser: I’ve been a vegetarian for four years and I have chosen not to have children, which are both green choices in my life.

Well how noble of you Vince. To you, all of us should live more responsibly by not having those little evil environmental killers – ya know, kids. In fact, Kartheiser eased our minds that he isn’t doing anything “miraculous” that the rest of “the masses” couldn’t do.

Someday I hope to be as enlightened as this guy. *eye roll*

I'd just laugh if this sort of misanthropy wasn't so dangerous.

He is not a likeable character on the show as far as I am concerned so the casting was brilliant.

It’s a free country, so he has the legal right to make a public fool of himself.

"it’s truly green to not have children."

He could go a long way towards repairing the damage he's done to the environment during his useless life by throwing himself off a bridge.

Listen...this guy is deranged, no question. But we should give him a big pat on the back, because every insane liberal who chooses not to reproduce improves the gene pool just a little bit. Not to mention less pollution of the electorate.

He apparently didn’t acquire this opinion from his parents, sadly.

A liberal announces that he doesn’t want to reproduce. There’s something to celebrate!

He and 3 other libs can pass on having children, because we had our quota and theirs combined. And since they grew up in this house, they are also comfortable with firearms, hard work and self control.

I’ll bet he doesn’t bathe regularly either. My sister’s moonbat boyfriend told us he was living green also which he said included not bathing everyday.

When they came for a visit, I put out clean towels, LOTS of soap and some deodorant.

He can be funky at his own house, not mine.

My sister is clean for herself. Her choices in men shock me. He pretends to be an intellectual. He’s an idiot.

If moronic people, with no clue to reality, choose not to have children where will future actors come from?

I’m ecstatic he’s not reproducing his kind.

I agree wholeheartedly ... the less people like him breed, the better for the planet.

I’d like to see him go down to an East Los Angeles Catholic church and tell all of the Hispanics there that they are being “ungreen” for having kids.
