Reposting this to ping to LucyT, just wanted to add this piece to the puzzle and when I saw Scott’s name in this post... googled the name with Obama and found out *my* Scott is the SAME ONE!! So I just emailed him and got this info...

I know Scott, he really DID go to school with Obama and I trust his word. He is not the sort to just lie about it and is a really super nice guy. (for those in California... visit his Inoue Chiropractic Clinic However Obama only went to school at the school for a few months and from memory seems to remember Obama staying with his grandparents and his mom not being in Hawaii.
