Cashill understands the Illegal in a way no so-called "respectable conservatives" (aka: over-educated snobbish nitwits) do.

I mean, does anyone take Kathleen Parker seriously anymore? After her orgasmic-like words for The Great Spreader, how can anyone read her nonsense.

To preserve their respectability, respectable conservatives have chosen to ignore what the blogosphere reports. As a result, when they look at Obama, they still see Michael Jordan and wonder why he is off his game. Out in the blogosphere, we see Stuart Smalley and wonder when the breakdown comes.

A very accurate final paragraph to the article.

.....”The one project that did engage Obama fully was work on The Audacity of Hope. He procrastinated for a long time and then, facing his deadline, wrote nearly a chapter a week.”

These chapters average nearly fifty pages in length. They are well-written and well-researched. A professional writer, working full time, would be stressed beyond endurance to meet such a deadline. A moonlighting senator, writing longhand, would not have a prayer.....

Of course obama did not write “The Audacity of Hope”. He never wrote “Dreams from My Father”, either. He never wrote ANYTHING of substance. That is because he COULD NOT write anything of substance!!!!

http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/10/who_wrote_dreams_from_my_fathe_1.html

obama is actually a dumb-dumb with perfectly creased pants. He is a fraud, planted as our President beginning a long time ago. He does the will of his masters—the Saudis and banksters like Soros—NOT the will of the American people

obama—following the will of his masters—is turning America into a Third World country influenced by sharia. And he is doing everything possible to advance the caliphate. STOP HIM!!!!

"D'Souza and Last deserve more respect, but their willful blindness to Obama's limitations limits their own credibility."

I would like to know how D'Souza has had willful blindness? Where has he ever heaped praise upon Obama? He wrote a book based on his own experiences as someone who grew up in a post English colonial country and showed how Obama's thoughts come from his Father in this setting and Obama is a post colonial marxist. How is this willful blindness?

Respectable thinkers need not understand Obama, not past his communist backing.

I usually like articles in The American Thinker, but I'm not sure that I like this one a lot. While I agree somewhat with the premise of the article, the author's opinion on who are "respectable conservatives" differs from mine.

Also, this description of Obama caught my eye...

Although the article had nothing to do with Obama, Obama would surely have scored off the charts had he answered those questions honestly. He has always known that he is not as competent as he has appeared -- as a writer, as a thinker, as a student, as a senator. His "luck" derived from the fact that he grew up almost exactly as privileged white people do but in the body of a black man.

I think that Obama grew up in a far more sheltered, advantaged world than any privileged white person, having had everything handed to him solely because of his race. Such is the nature of Affirmative Action - merit, effort, and capability are replaced by quotas with the preferred races given unearned advantage over others.

Obama's our AA president. Every milestone in his life has been unearned. He never had to work in his life. He never had to achieve anything. Everything, every position was handed to him in exchange for being born with a favored racial makeup.

“Not even Stuart Smalley would accuse Jordan of narcissism. In real life, as in the Smalley skit, Jordan simply exhibited the confidence that comes with being the world’s best practitioner of his art.”

Jordan had his problems, and is notable not so much for being serenly confident as carefully controlling his image and having great PR. If you happened to catch his Hall of Fame speech, for instance, you might have found his vindictiveness odd. However, his baser aspects have slowly trickled out over the years. His philandering and gambling addiction were open secrets, and then there was the massive delusion that was his baseball career.

Not that I seek to knock the guy. It’s good for public figures to have a little mystery. I’d rather we not know what an assh*le Ali was, for instance.
