Over the weekend former First Lady Barbara Bush shocked some when she took a jab at Sarah Palin, saying she hopes the former Alaskan governor stays in Alaska. Now she’s following that up with another surprising statement, this time saying that “you can’t dislike Bill Clinton.”
During an interview with Larry King that aired in full Monday night, Barbara admitted that while “it took me a little while” to warm up to the man who beat her husband and won the presidency in 1992, she now has nothing but good things to say about him. “You can’t dislike Bill Clinton,” she said. “He’s very likable. And he was so good to George… he would let George have the bed. I have a feeling Bill wishes he had a father like George, truthfully”:

From everybody I’ve heard, once you’re face-to-face personal with Clinton you have to like him. This is a common trait in con men, it’s how they sucker people.

I went to see George W. last night on his book signing tour. Like his policies or not, he is a committed born again Christian. He spoke passionately about it and its obvious that he’s worked out the story of redemption and what it means to him. He loves his parents but he’s not his parents and he knows it.
What’s a little RAPE allegation after all, or several.

I wonder if Bar remembers how Bill insinuated that George Bush Sr. was shot down in WW II due to is incompetence as a pilot? Does she remember how Clinton’s opposition research team spread rumors that Bush Sr. was having an affair to counteract the Clinton affair stories? She has a very short memory.
The Bush women aren’t in the closet. Baby killers all. Once you think it’s okay to kill the unborn, you’ll swallow anything.
My respect and regard for her diminishes every time she opens her mouth.
Maybe she would feel differently if Saddam Hussein had assassinated her husband on Clinton’s watch, as Hussein had wanted to do.
I’ve known plenty of people who are deeply flawed and character-challenged but warm and great fun to be around.
Related to a couple of them whom I love but do not, and never will, trust.
I understand what she’s saying. Clinton does, indeed, have a warmth and charisma, and it got him elected twice. But he’s a creep on the inside.
The Bushes know this. The difference between them and Clinton is that their good character runs deep. They are gracious people who represent us well.
Clinton benefited from association with the Bushes.
Bushes, Lugar, Powell, Rice, Romney, Murkowski make me want to puke. They are all big government ruling class screwups.Party affiliation, among this kind of Ruling Class Elitist, is a matter of "team colors", nothing more.
There were poeple who said Josef Mengele had a charming personality too. Same with Ted Bundy.
I was just thinking of this when I read the title- how Barbara is spouting off and Laura believes in choice and gay marriage. I LOVED both of them as First Ladies but now am totally disappointed in both for being so elitist.
