In the wake of Republicans takeover of the House, many pundits are convinced that the federal government will be at a stalemate for the next two years, unable to get anything done. I believe we canand shoulddo better. One area where I believe we can make significant strides with common sense solutions is in energy.
As governor of one of Americas largest oil producing states, you could reasonably assume that Im a proponent of fossil fuels. Guilty as chargedand the 2010 oil spill off the Louisiana coast, awful as it is, hasnt changed that.
But what may surprise you is that along with being a big supporter of fossil fuels, Im also a big proponent of developing any and all methods of producing energy that works. I even support pursuing technologies that dont exist yet. Not all of them will succeed, but we have to consider every option in order to make more America energy independent.

We could light the world by harnessing the hot air coming out of DC.
Well then we need to hit those fingers with a hammer and make them let go of the throttle.
Reinstitute the rule that only Americans can be shareholders in TV networks.
Mordoch can sell his shares to Malone who has more money than Mourdoch. Get the Saudis OUT of US TV.
The GOP needs open up land the Feds grabbed for energy production. The states need to do it. It will creat jobs, wealth and tax revenues.

Microbial action at extreme depths ping!
There’s the possibility of thorium reactors and super-capacitor vehicles. There are also new and vastly superior kinds of IC engines in prototype now, including that Angellabs engine and the Ecomotors opposed engine.
They thrive on, and strive for, American weakness. Oil dependence is just part of it.
“In Alaskas vast and frozen ANWR, we could produce an estimated 15 billion gallons of oil annually from an area roughly the size of an airport.”
This is obviously a misconception by Bobby, because the TOTAL estimated reserves of ANWR are about 15 - 16 billion barrels:

For those persons who believe in the abiogenic origin for oil, why do all the worlds oil fields occur in basins with thick sequences of sedimentary rocks, but none occur in the continental shields where there are no sediments?
