in 2012 the GOP nominee will be able to run some truly delicious ads featuring Obama telling the lies that “you can keep your plan if you like it, and keep your current doctor”.
Perhaps the biggest political lie in this country since “I did not have sexual relations with that woman”.

The government REWARDING, and ..."letting" the "stupid pay"? That's funny. Thanks. I needed a good laugh. )

That’s the coming media meme. If you oppose the individual mandate you want to throw sick children into the street and hope they die fast.

Yep. They do the same thing every time that the topic of SS reform is brought up. "The EVIL Republicans are gonna take away your retirement!!"

Republicans in Congress are leaning on at-risk or moderate Democrats to help them strip out “the bad parts of ObamaCare,”

This is absolutely wrong and the standard Republican approach i.e. refine it; trim it; adjust it: keep it. If we leave any part of this thing it will regenerate into the whole demon. It must be repealed and then Medicare and Medicaid and government employee insurance and exemptions for employer paid insurance all must be addressed with an eye to reducing them and immediately or eventually eliminating them. Those measures will drastically reduce the cost of medicine in the USA. Essentially get FedGov totally out of the business except for the military. And then we can talk about Social Security.

Medicare will fold, and the retired Military’s over 65 health ins. Tricare for Life which is tied to Medicare will go down the tubes too.

They should have totaled the car, but they didn’t. In fact, I suggested a settlement at the book value of the vehicle and they refused, claiming it was repairable. The problem was their adjuster never looked at it and Geico insisted that it be repaired in Ohio, where the wreck occurred. They were going by what their “approved” shop’s estimate, which was very low. The original repair was very poorly done by the first Geico approved shop. I refused the first repair, but gave the first shop an opportunity to correct their mistakes. The second time it looked okay, but, as I found out on the drive home in the rain, both doors on the wrecked side leaked air and water. So, I wound up having to have the repair repaired by a second Geico authorized shop here in TN. Since there was already an open claim and since I used Geico approved shops, they were obliged to repair it to my satisfaction (according to Geico). I didn’t use a lawyer. Never felt the need to involve a lawyer. One of my inlaws runs a claims department for a major insurance underwriter. She gave me guidance on how to handle it, particularly the correct verbiage to use when discussing the claim with Geico. I kept explicit records of all my expenses, including a log of my time, phone calls, as well as a list of everyone I spoke to. It was a real ordeal, but the harder they pressed the madder and more determined I got. Long story short, the car was worth about $4500 at the time of the accident, but, by my estimation Geico wound up paying just over $20,000 to repair the car 3 times by two different shops, (assuming the shops got paid by Geico on the bills I saw) plus my expenses of two trips to Ohio, plus rental cars for 4 months while I was without a vehicle and some miscellaneous medical expenses. A well oiled machine, they ain’t. The worst part about dealing with them was how dictatorial they were from the very first contact. From the first phone call they were telling me what I would accept and what I wouldn’t. It was obvious their claims people are schooled on how to handle non-customer claims. They had a real “take it or leave it” attitude and it cost them. I’m sure they probably were playing the odds that I would just give up and go away, but they just didn’t realize the depths of my persistence.

I wonder if the waivers themselves might be a reason for another court challenge as they allow the law to be selectively implemented. Some people in a particular class either in a certain state or working for a certain company may be exempted from this federal law while other people in the same class are subject to the law. I don’t know how this is constitutional.

The latter. That should be obvious by now.

That’s THE source of leftist power - selectively applying punitive laws.

The power to grant or withhold waivers is the power to make or break a business.

And we know these will be granted or withheld strictly for political reasons.

I have told my lib acquaintances that not only do I hope they lose their MA and get monstrous premium increases, I said flat out that I hope each and every one of them that supported this thuggery lives long enough to see their children denied medical care under rationing.

That said, my BIL's wife is an NEA teacher, and excluded from the crap I have to take. Animal Farm. Dems = pigs

Actually, I highly doubt this one. If there's one area where the left promotes libertinism, it's in the sexual arena. Do you really think homos will be restricted on their AIDS treatment under 0bamacare?

That’s pretty vindictive, though I have to admit I feel the same way.
I have a libinlaw that blindly argues that our previous insurance system was broken and that 0bamacare is the fix.
I told her I don’t know which would be better, for her to learn about it the hard way, or for it to be repealed without her ever feeling the hardship its going to cause.

I mentioned her being rationed care at the end of her life,
and in defense of her worldview, she actually said that it would be better if they just let her die.

At first glance it does sound vindictive.

But realistically, their kids will be denied care, I'm only hoping they are around to see their kids suffer as they have decided mine will.

As far as losing MA or getting gigantic premiums, why shouldn't they suffer to the same degree that they themselves have decreed I will suffer?

IOW, I wish only that they get exactly what I get. And since they think it will be paradise, they should think I am wishing them well. Morons.

As an employer can’t I just pay the penalty and use that as an excuse not to give raises (or to give smaller raises) one year? And if so, then who is REALLY bearing the cost of Obamacare?

I had a similar experience making a "non-customer" claim, but I didn't have to go through all of that nonsense.

When the insurance company first started to give me grief about paying for the damage to my vehicle, I simply called the supervisor of the person handling the claim and asked about re-filing my paperwork to include a personal injury claim on top of the claim for the damage to my vehicle.

Their fear of such a nightmare scenario made them very cooperative from that point forward.

Thanks to Obamacare our health insurance is essentially going up $120.00 PER PAYCHECK!!! Due to our current financial situation we will be MUCH LESS ABLE to afford adequate medical care — even our prescriptions, and preventative checkups and such will NOT be covered. (Our employer changed plans because they would’ve been taxed too heavily over our old plan).

And to any lurking liberals out there — my family qualifies as the “working poor”, or “lower income” (whatever the “proper” term should be). Not that I believed ANY of the lies, or that I supported this in ANY way, shape or form, but YOU all said that people like MY family would be “helped” by this legislation. That things would be easier for us. We wouldn’t be forced to give up our doctors, or quality of care.

Now - EXACTLY like ALL of us Conservatives warned - my family is getting screwed (along with MILLIONS of others just like us). Thank you for making things INFINITELY harder for my family, and my children. May God forgive you for what you’ve done to us all.

Yes — and we will be able to have our individual insurers again.
