I have been hearing of states opting out of Medicaid and starting their own more modest safety net programs as a way of balancing their budgets. The absence of a generous Medicaid program would also dis-incentivize the migration of the poor to these states. These individuals, the “working poor”, would be placed into the exchanges and receive some variable type of subsidy or these people would simply not purchase insurance and/or possibly pay the fine. Many of these “working poor” will do as they do in MA and go w/o insurance until they are sick and take advantage of the elimination of the “pre-existent” disease exclusion.
The other great existential threat to 0bamacare is civil disobedience against the mandates by individuals and states in 2014.
If God forbid, 0bama is re-elected in 2012, these actions by groups of states could set the stage for the threat or actual act of succession.

[Do you really think homos will be restricted on their AIDS treatment under 0bamacare?]

Certainly not under Obamacare.

But under a hypothetical system like Auto insurance, where idiotic behavior bears a consequential cost proportionate to the idiocy... yep.

[unless you are poor, scam, game the system]

But that’s not how Auto Insurance works, is it?

My rates are low because I’ve never lost a point off my license in 35 years of driving and I’ve never been in an accident that was my fault.

Others rates are high because, poor or not, they drive like idiots and suffer the consequences.

The comment was that health insurance should operate more like auto insurance, rewarding the responsible with lower rates, and forcing idiots to bear the consequences for their stupidity.

Where did I say the government should involved? Oh that’s right, I didn’t. TWIT.

You said....quote...”Make it like auto insurance”.

I have on my insurance bill, mandated( forced ) by the state....’uninsured driver’ coverage.

Is there any state that doesn’t get ‘involved’ with auto insurance? I don’t think so. So, since you said, make it like...and since all is state involved...therefor you proposed state intervention. Is that too hard to understand?

>>I don’t think so

You don’t think, so?

What’s the function of American government specified in the Declaration of Independence?

What? The Declaration is a bill of historical grievances and injuries, and then a statement of political bond breaking.

>>What?

The Declaration articulates that governments are instituted among men to achieve a specified purpose.

What is that specified purpose?

Their fear of such a nightmare scenario made them very cooperative from that point forward.

The big mistake they made was not having me deal with one person to settle the claim. I dealt with multiple adjusters over the phone. They had a field adjuster in Ohio, but he never went to look at the car. They relied on what the repair shop said, rather than evaluating the damage for themselves. That is what cost them. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. Classic bureaucratic incompetence, combined with arrogance and willful neglect.

Already did. It’s right in front of you.

If you have reading comprehension skills, then demonstrate them.

I’ll give you a hint - the specified purpose precedes the words “governments are instituted among men”.

Thanks for the details. I am glad no lawyers made money in the process.

“RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia says King Abdullah has arrived in New York for medical treatment.”

http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2010/11/23/general-ml-saudi-king-hospitalized_8158576.html?boxes=financechannelAP

If we did not have the BEST healthcare in the world, why would King Abdullah come here? Why didn’t he go to one of the socialized medicine countries like England, Canada, et al?

Yup, more proof that the U.S. has the BEST healthcare in the world!

But let’s not mess it up with Obamacare. Let’s defund and repeal this awful bill FAST!
