It is designed to collapse. Then single payer totalitarian medicine rationed by the Federal Government. How obvious could it be?

It will simply be repealed....although I don’t think that will happen before 2012. Hopefully, I could be wrong about that and, due to a Supreme Court decision, the whole bill will fall.

Earlier this month, Obama was at 111 ‘waivers’, and counting...

Will the people vote out the Obamanation or will do the foolish now outnumber conservatives in America.
2012 is the test and may well be the last chance for America to survive the communist coup the DC democrats have started.

It might collapse what’s left of the economy.

I don’t know that the current system has “worked well” for employers. When your profits are growing at single digits (or not at all), it is unacceptable for health care costs to be several times the rate of inflation. The fact is that health care is sucking the life out of the Economy. Obamacare made it worse by expanding mandates and cutting fees to providers.

We are headed a system where everyone has excellent health care (on paper), but can’t get any under the official “rules”. Only those who pay under the table will actually be treated.

This is a race. If enough employers drop coverage in the very near future, then repealing Obamacare will be unpalatable, since it will leave people with nothing. On the other hand, if Obamacare is repealed quickly enough, a relatively small number of employers will finalize their plans to drop employee coverage.

We need to seek a completely privatized solution -- don't get your health coverage from the government, and don't get it from your employer either. Make it like auto insurance. Let Geico handle it.

Atlas is just about to shrug. The government should get out of health care. All of the insurance industry and “benefits” came from a government cap in salaries. Now it’s a monster. Every penny spent administering the various plans is a “cost of health care” but not one of those pennies relates to actually providing health care.

Yes, it will go down in flames like a 4 engine Jumbo jet trying to take off with one engine and having a engine failure.

Someone with good photoshop/Gimp skills a pic is in order.

Preferential treatment for some companies is sure to cause resentment.

Not to mention the idea of being un-Constitutional.

Will ObamaCare Collapse?

Yes, of course.

It is transparently Leninist (the worse, the better). Its entire design is to "heighten the contradictions" and thereby destroy the health care system, allowing communism to emerge from the rubble. It is pure dialectical materialism.

Sheesh! Doesn't anybody STUDY Lenin anymore?

IMHO...the investment banks basically looted Medicare and stole the American health care system to pay for their bad bets. And Congress aided and abetted them-in every way.

There is not a single good reason We the People face the present economic circumstances. It can be summed up as the consequence of professional malpractice, by bankers and brokers, complicated by political and legislative professional malpractice in Congress. This whole situation clearly disabuses the need for a “professional” political class.

Its intentional. With employers dropping coverage, the stage is set for the government to take over our health care system. If Obamacare isn’t repealed, we deserve what we get.
There is a madness behind it.

The libs have started the argument that repeal of the mandate provisions will toss sick kids in the street because the pre-existing coverage mandate requires the healthy people to be forced into the insurance pool in order to make it economically feasible.

That’s the coming media meme. If you oppose the individual mandate you want to throw sick children into the street and hope they die fast.

Republicans in Congress are leaning on at-risk or moderate Democrats to help them strip out “the bad parts of ObamaCare,” according to a Nov. 12 story in Newser.

If this is the pubbies' strategy then we'll end up with a (even more)worthless mess that will surely result in single payer.

in 2012 the GOP nominee will be able to run some truly delicious ads featuring Obama telling the lies that “you can keep your plan if you like it, and keep your current doctor”.
Perhaps the biggest political lie in this country since “I did not have sexual relations with that woman”.

This is absolutely wrong and the standard Republican approach i.e. refine it; trim it; adjust it: keep it. If we leave any part of this thing it will regenerate into the whole demon. It must be repealed and then Medicare and Medicaid and government employee insurance and exemptions for employer paid insurance all must be addressed with an eye to reducing them and immediately or eventually eliminating them. Those measures will drastically reduce the cost of medicine in the USA. Essentially get FedGov totally out of the business except for the military. And then we can talk about Social Security.
